After the 2010’s feature film “Just Wright” featuring Common, it seems like Queen Latifah is making another basketball movie.
Paparazzi found the “Ladies First” emcee in Philadelphia shooting a new film about the sport for Netflix, with the hilarious Adam Sandler. This will not only be the first time the two will be in a movie together but it is also the first time Adam Sandler stars in a flick about basketball.
He has been in a few sports movies: “Happy Gilmore” (1996) about golf and “The Waterboy” (1998), a classic about football.
The movie, which is being executive produced by LeBron James, is called “Hustle” and will be about a basketball scout (played by the former “Saturday Night Live” cast member).
Sandler’s character finds a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ player while outside of the country and decides that he wants to start working with this elite athlete to get him to the NBA.
What’s the most exciting part of this movie?
Queen Latifah, whose real name is Dana Owens, will play his wife. That is sure to be funny as both are known to cut up when the cameras are rolling.
No word on when this movie is scheduled to come out
