(AllHipHop News) Russell Simmons announced he was stepping away from his companies after the entertainment mogul was accused of sexual misconduct. According to TMZ, the employees of one of those businesses, All Def Digital, was ordered not to discuss the situation involving their former boss.

The website reports:

Sources at Simmons’ All Def Digital tell us staffers were called together Thursday morning. The company’s “All Def Comedy Live” premieres Friday night [December 1] on HBO, and we’re told comedians and producers were given strict instructions on how to deal with questions about Russell leaving and the claims against him. The strategy was pretty simple … do NOT discuss it, and if you do, there will be repercussions.

Originally, Simmons was listed as an executive producer of All Def Comedy. However, his name has reportedly been removed from the credits of the show.

Besides HBO’s stand-up series, All Def Digital is also the home of All Def Music, All Def Culture, All Def Live, All Def Poetry, and All Def Sports. The All Def Digital YouTube page has nearly 3 million subscribers.
