(AllHipHop News) Prodigy was a proud New Yorker but the wordsmith got love across the globe, including in Atlanta.

The city’s WSB-TV news team paid tribute to the late rapper by adding Prodigy references to its newscast.

“There’s some ‘shook ones’ right now on I-75,” announced anchor Fred Blankenship.

The station’s “traffic prodigy” Mark Arum sprinkled Mobb Deep bars throughout his various reports.

This is the same local newscast that honored Tupac Shakur in the same manner a week ago.

WSB also recognized Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest with a lyrical eulogy in 2016.

Albert “Prodigy” Johnson passed away on June 20 at the age of 42.
