Rapper/actor Ludacris will serve as a guest professor at an unknown college during an episode on mtvU’s new upcoming season of Stand In.

 

According to reps for the network, MtvU camera’s will follow the controversial rapper during the months ahead, as he surprises a college classroom, stands-in for a professor and “takes students “out of their books for a chance to learn from those making history today.”

 

In addition to Ludacris, Stand In will feature guest appearances by singer Annie Lennox and Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, President of Liberia and Africa’s first elected female head of state.

 

Stand In, which debuts in October, is part of a slate of new programming mtvU unveiled today (August 27).

 

mtvU is MTV’s 24-hour college network, which is broadcast to over 750 colleges across the country, with over 7.5 million student viewers.

 

In related news, Ludacris will kick of a new season of his XM radio show “Disturbing Tha Peace Presents: Ludacris’ Open Mic” on September 8, XM also announced today.

 

Ludacris promises the upcoming season, which broadcasts on Raw XM 66, will not disappoint his loyal fans,

 

“My show on XM is the most entertaining hour of radio, period! And it only gets better with time,” Ludacris said in a statement.
