(AllHipHop News) Beastie Boys member Ad-Rock has been forced to apologize for the behavior of his father, who is accused of sexually harassing nine women.
Ad-Rock, born Adam Horovitz, is the son of noted playwright Israel Horovitz.
The New York Times recently published an expose on Ad-Rock’s father, who is accused of sexually assaulting nine women, dating back to 1986.
One of the women was even a former girlfriend of the Beastie Boys frontman, whom he dated in high school.
Ad-Rock issued a statement condemning his father’s behavior.
“I believe the allegations against my father are true, and I stand behind the women that made them,” Adam Horovitz said in a statement to the Times.
The Beastie Boys launched their career in 1986 with the release of their debut album License to Ill.
The landmark album was released on Def Jam, while hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons was running the imprint.
