Damian “Dame D.O.L.L.A.” Lillard Responds To Shaquille O’Neal’s Diss Track With “Reign Reign Go Away”

Shaq Diesel let loose his “Freestyle (Damian Lillard Diss)” song.

(AllHipHop News) Once again, The Joe Budden Podcast ignited a feud among celebrities. This time, the sports world was brought into the drama, but it appears this new feud will play out on wax.

Damian “Dame D.O.L.L.A.” Lillard has been declaring he is the best rapper in the NBA for years. During a recent visit to JBP, the four-time All-Star expressed his belief that he is even better than platinum-selling rhymer/baller Shaquille O’Neal.

The Shaq Diesel album creator got wind of Dame D.O.L.L.A.’s comments, and O’Neal laid out a verbal challenge by dropping a diss track aimed at Lillard. On the song, Shaq announced he had to come out of retirement in order to “spank one of these undisciplined children.”

Fans and sports figures began tweeting at Lillard about O’Neal’s diss which prompted the Portland Trail Blazers guard to respond on the social media platform. It looks like the former NBA Rookie of the Year is getting ready to fire back.

“Ha … training camp starts tomorrow but he’s definitely gettin a round out of me. Just wait,” tweeted Dame on Monday night. A few hours later, he added, “Check back in the AM.”

Dame D.O.L.L.A. dropped his third studio album, BIG D.O.L.L.A., in August. The project made it onto several Billboard charts: Heatseekers Albums (#5), Independent Albums (#12), R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Sales (#10), Rap Album Sales (#8), and Top Album Sales (#68).

UPDATE:

Damian “Dame D.O.L.L.A.” Lillard kept his word by releasing a Shaquille O’Neal diss track titled “Reign Reign Go Away” around 11 am ET. He embedded the song in a tweet that read, “Ok I’m going to practice now…”
