(AllHipHop News) A screenwriter has filed a lawsuit against the writers of the upcoming movie Lottery Ticket, which stars rappers Ice Cube and Bow Wow. According to the lawsuit, which was filed yesterday (August 11th) in Los Angeles Superior Court, writer Tom Huang claims he wrote a treatment for a similar movie in 2004. TMZ.com reports that Huang allegedly passed the idea to his agent Brad Kaplan, who then allegedly gave it to Erik White, the writer and director of Lottery Ticket. Huang, who is suing for millions, claims that Kaplan and White stole the plot, characters and scenes from the movie. According to the lawsuit, White has already denied stealing the script.Lottery Ticket features Ice Cube, Bow Wow, Mike Epps, T-Pain and others. Despite the lawsuit, Ice Cube is excited about the movie and working with Bow Wow. “I had a chance to work worth Bow [Wow] and talk to him about acting and the business and I think he’s going to go a long way when it comes to movies,” Ice Cube said in an interview. “He’s got a steady growth on him and it looks good from here.”Lottery Ticket is due in theaters August 20th.
