Drake Admits Summer Walker Inspired Him To Write New Music

(AllHipHop News) Drizzy fans may want to thank Summer Walker for upcoming tunes from the OVO leader. The Atlanta-based singer-songwriter posted a message from Drake on her Instagram page.

The DM conversation shows Drake acknowledged that he found motivation from Summer’s “Fun Girl” track off her Over It album. He wrote, “Nah wtf. U snapped.  Just made me write two songs, it’s 7:30 am here. Album crazy .”

Walker posted in the IG caption, “So I guess fun girl is his favorite song on the album, mines isss… BODY what’s yours?”

Earlier this year, Drake showed up on Summer Walker’s “Girls Need Love (Remix)” song. The record became the LoveRenaissance songstress’ first entry on the Hot 100 chart when it debuted at #87 in March.

Walker dropped her debut studio album, Over It, on October 4. The LP includes features from Bryson Tiller, Usher, 6lack, PartyNextDoor, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and Jhené Aiko. According to HitsDailyDouble, Over It is on pace to open at #1 with 115,000 – 125,000 first-week units.
