Drake Fans Think Viral “Day In The Life” TikTok Video Is Shot At Mos Def

The 6 God is a mastermind with the subliminal shade, apparently.

Drake has broken the internet again with his latest social media stunt that has people believing he’s subliminally shading Mos Def regarding his recent comments about the 6 God’s music.

In case you missed it, Drizzy dropped his own version of the Drew Walls “Day in the Life” TikTok video, which features him recording himself at various points of his day and stitching them all together into a single clip. Soundtracked by his own For All The Dogs intro track, “Virginia Beach,” the video captures Drake cosplaying as a bartender, sipping on his bespoke cocktails in front of the fire, swimming in his indoor grotto and tenderly tucking himself into sleep.

And while it may seem like just a fun and lighthearted attempt by Drake to recreate the virality Walls was able to drum up with his Target run video, many social media users believe the move was much more calculated. As we all know, Mos Def criticized Drizzy’s music for being too commercial during a recent interview in which he was asked if Drake represented true Hip-Hop.

“Drake doing a Drew Walls style Target run after Mos Def said that Drake makes Target music is next level trolling by Drake,” one user wrote.

A journalist also revealed an Instagram DM Drake sent him some time after he released his poetry book, Titles Ruin Everything, in which he seemingly throws shade on Def.

“Can you do an article now where the baddest Instagram girls in the world review my poetry book not the head of the Mos Def fan club… thanks,” Drake wrote in the message.

On the flipside, Drake just announced he’s dropping the “Anita Max Wynn” alter ego trucker hat merch with betting company Stake. Drake also posted a photo of a microphone in the middle of an apartment with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and a scenic view of presumably Toronto, as if to tease a response to Mos Def on wax.
