If you’ve ever watched ESPN, then you have been blessed to watch Stuart Scott bless us with his presence on SportsCenter. Unfortunately, those days are no more. Earlier today, the beloved sportscaster passed away after a long fight with cancer, lasting 7 years. ESPN reporter Hannah Storm confirmed the terrible news this morning through a eulogy.
Once news got out about Stuart Scott’s passing, it went viral. Several fans of Scott gave their condolences through social media. Many of these fans went from the worlds of journalism, to sports, to even entertainment. Last year, he was awarded an ESPY for the Jimmy V Perseverance Award.

Stuart Scott was one of the anchors who brought black culture to the world of sports journalism. From using several quotes from legendary rappers, to approaching news coverage with a unique style that journalists can imitate, but couldn’t replicate. Scott may have passed away, but he’ll never be forgotten.
