(AllHipHop News) Maybe the cryptic video playing on Frank Ocean’s website is a sign the R&B singer is really ready to release his long-delayed second studio LP.

The New Orleans native became a trending topic on Twitter after the circulation of a New York Times article suggesting the new Boys Don’t Cry album is on the way this week.

The publication reports:

Mr. Ocean, the innovative and enigmatic R&B singer, is set to release his next album, “Boys Don’t Cry,” on Friday through an exclusive deal with Apple Music, according to a person with knowledge of the release plans. The release is also expected to include a major video and a printed publication called “Boys Don’t Cry” that will be distributed at Apple stores.

Apple Music added to the speculation when the company’s twitter account posted a tweet that simply read “Frank” with a link to the same clip running on Ocean’s site.

Boys Don’t Cry is expected to be an Apple Music exclusive for two weeks before extending to other outlets.
