(AllHipHop News) Freddie Gibbs is heading to Austria.
Unfortunately, it’s not for a show, but to answer an accuser who claims the rapper raped her.
Freddie Gibbs was taken into custody in Toulose, France on June 2, after a show at a local venue called Rex.
The rapper was detained and jailed by French police, due to a warrant for his arrest in Austria, where the crime allegedly occurred in 2015.
“The order was not surprising and it doesn’t change the fact that these are false allegations,” Freddie Gibbs’ U.S.’ attorney Scott Leemon told AllHipHop.com.
“We are still hoping that once the Public Prosecutor in Austria interviews Freddie she will decide not to go forward,” Scott Leemon told AllHipHop.com. “If she does decide to go forward, Freddie will fight the charges with everything he’s got.”
Freddie Gibbs, born Fredrick Tiptonwas locked up for two weeks in Toulose, before he was finally released on $56,000 bail on June 16.
The rapper, who must check in with French authorities three times a week, surrendered his passport and has been stuck in France ever since the ordeal began.
According to reports, Freddie Gibbs still has 72 hours to appeal the ruling.
