(AllHipHop News) The Hip Hop Hall Of Fame Museum is asking for donations in order to construct a memorial statue for Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace.
HHHOF’s goal is to raise $35,000 for the #BiggieMemorial Exhibit which will be located near Brooklyn’s Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood. A GoFundMe page has collected around $725 as of press time.
The monument to the late Bed-Stuy Hip Hop legend will be part of a series of special exhibits, museum development projects, and educational programs throughout New York City.
“This cultural arts attraction will surely be a tourist and economic draw as fans and tourists from around the world come to visit the #BiggieMemorial,” stated JT Thompson, creator of HHHOF Awards and Museum Project.
The six-foot bronze sculpture is being created by Brooklyn based artist Tanda Francis. Down Lo Music CEO Dennis Mathis is also coordinating with the Hip Hop Hall Of Fame Museum for the artwork.
“This project is special to team up with the HHHOF to assist artist Tanda Francis realize her dream and remember a true Hip Hop icon,” added Mathis.
