(AllHipHop News) A significant number of Hip Hop artists chose to wait until the last month of 2016 to drop new bodies of work.
In particular, December 9th became the release date for a good number of rap albums.
J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only, Ab-Soul’s Do What Thou Wilt, Post Malone’s Stoney, Tech N9ne’s The Storm, Yasiin Bey & Ferrari Sheppard’s December 99th all arrive today.
Fellow Hip Hop representatives Charles Hamilton, CJ Fly of Pro Era, and Hodgy of Odd Future dropped their respective projects Hamilton, Charles, Flytrap, and Fireplace: TheNotTheOtherSide as well.
Probably not since Kanye West, J. Cole, and Mac Miller in 2013 has so many high-profile LPs came out on the same day.
Next week is expected to feature new projects from Kid Cudi (Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’), The Lox (Filthy America… It’s Beautiful), and Gucci Mane (Return of East Atlanta Santa).
