Hip-Hop mogul Jermaine Dupri will officially open his latest venture, the new Studio 72 nightclub, this Wednesday in Tucker, Georgia.
A number of Dupri’s celebrity friends will join Dupri this Wednesday (August 29), to celebrate the official grand opening opening of Studio 72, Dupri’s latest business venture.
“This isn’t just a club, this will be history for my generation,” Dupri told AllHipHop.com. “Every night is a different theme. Fridays are Krush Groove. Every Friday night we’ll have a different legendary DJ, starting with Frank Ski then the following week we have Biz Markie, then D-Nice. etc.”
According to Dupri, president of Island Records’ Urban Music division, the club is inspired by legendary New York club Studio 54.
Dupri’s Studio 72 boasts a furnished lobby area with five chandeliers, a number of flat screen TV’s, a huge aquarium, art on the ceiling and other unique amenities.
“I want people [coming] from out of town dreaming about coming to Studio 72,” Dupri said.
The superstar producer previously hosted a preview of the club for various celebrities and media outlets in June.
In related news, Dupri recently denied that he and girlfriend Janet Jackson were secretly married last weekend.
