Kanye’s Fashion Show Slammed For Late Start; Models Faint During Delay

THE HEAT AND THE DELAY WAS TOO MUCH

(AllHipHop News) At least one model fainted during Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 4 fashion show in a New York park on Wednesday due to the sweltering heat.

The rapper-turned-designer took over part of Roosevelt Island to stage his latest Adidas clothing collection on the eve of the official launch for New York Fashion Week, and guests including his wife Kim Kardashian and hip-hop stars Pusha T and 2 Chainz were there to show their support, along with Tyga, who joined his girlfriend, Kim’s sister Kylie Jenner.

However, the show, which was streamed online on Jay Z’s Tidal service, got off to a rough start after it was delayed by over an hour.

The wait was too much for one model, who collapsed as she struggled to deal with the blazing sunshine.

Others, who had lined up on the grass for the unveiling, also found the heat tough to take and were featured sitting on the ground as water bottles were passed around.

The women wore a mix of cream, nude, and brown bodysuits, dresses, crop tops, and shorts, with many modeling clear PVC pumps and thigh-high boots identical to the ones worn by Kim in the Big Apple earlier this week.

The drama continued during the fashion when one model, identified on social media as Amina Blue, was shown kicking off her heels as she got to the end of the makeshift runway.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted singer Teyana Taylor, the star of Kanye’s new Fade video, walking in the show, while Justin Bieber’s new girlfriend, Lionel Richie’s model daughter Sofia Richie, also strutted her stuff, wearing an oversized green hooded jacket with thigh-high boots.

Rumors suggested U.S. President Barack Obama’s eldest daughter Malia was also part of the runway show, but no images had surfaced of her fashion debut as of press time.

The Yeezy Season 4 show took place seven months after Kanye’s last fashion unveiling in February, when he showed off his Season 3 designs at Madison Square Garden during an event which doubled as a listening party for his The Life of Pablo album.
