(AllHipHop News) Embattled star Katt Williams has been arrested for misdemeanor battery after allegedly attacking a restaurant employee.
The comedian was taken into custody early Sunday morning (July 24) at the Sportsmen’s Lodge restaurant in Sherman Oaks, California, where a female employee claimed Williams had attacked and punched her, according to TMZ.com.
Law enforcement sources tell the site the woman displayed visible, but minor injuries, and Williams was subsequently arrested for misdemeanor battery. He is currently in custody with bail set at $20,000.
This isn’t the first time Williams has been hit with battery-related charges. His most recent altercation occurred in April, when he was arrested following a brawl with servers at a seafood restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Atlanta incident marked the comedian’s fourth arrest in just six weeks after reportedly engaging in a nasty altercation with a 17-year-old, allegedly assaulting one of his bodyguards, and supposedly punching an employee at a pool supply store.
The “Norbit” star has also been accused of holding five women at gunpoint after they tried to film a meeting with him, while the embattled 42-year-old is due to stand trial for a felony count of robbery after allegedly stealing a camera from a photographer in Beverly Hills, California in 2014, during a night out with now-incarcerated rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight.
