(AllHipHop News) Many Hip Hop aficionados still view Ms. Lauryn Hill as one of the greatest artists to emerge from the culture. While the Fugees member has only released one official studio LP, her fans still look forward to hearing new tunes 21 years after The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
Following her appearance on “Coming Home” by Pusha T earlier this year, Hill also created a solo record for the Queen & Slim soundtrack. “Guarding The Gates” is a six-minute song where the 8-time Grammy winner expresses the need for real love.
Queen & Slim: The Soundtrack also includes tracks by Vince Staples, 6lack, EarthGang, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, Syd, Mike Jones, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, The-Dream, Bilal, Raphael Saadiq, Blood Orange, and more acts. The album is now available on DSPs.
On November 27, the Queen & Slim film will hit North American theaters. The Melina Matsoukas-directed drama stars Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith. Emmy winner Lena Waithe wrote the screenplay.
