LiAngelo Ball still refuses to bow down to Cam’ron amid their ongoing back and forth, and instead, has decided to boot the veteran Dipset lyrcist to a post beneath his own.

On Thursday (January 30), LiAngelo, whose rap name is G3, appeared in a new interview with Speedy Morman for Complex—during which he addressed the friction with Cam’ron. The former NBA G-league basketball player-turned-rapper didn’t hold back when discussing his skills both on the court and in the booth, declaring himself superior to none other than Harlem rap legend.

When asked about his response to Cam’ron’s previous commentary, LiAngelo brushed it off with cool confidence.

“I don’t deal with it, like that don’t bother me, bro,” LiAngelo said. “I’ll just address it because I ain’t finna get punked for nothing. Like, dawg, what is you saying? They [Cam’ron and Ma$e] don’t know me at all.”

LiAngelo continued, making it clear that even though they don’t know each other, he’s seen enough to know that he’s better than Cam at a number of things—which includes rapping. “I think I rap colder than him,” he said. “Basketball colder than him.”

He stood firm under pressure from Morman who agreed that although he is likely the better hooper than Cam’ron, who had no real professional career, he is far less experienced as he is when it comes to music. “It’s not a discussion though, bro,” he declared, before adding “Me personally, yeah, I feel that way,” when asked if he feels “musically” he’s more advanced than Cam.

LiAngelo’s latest comments follow a string of highly critical, and often offensive remarks, Cam’ron has made on his sports talkshow It Is What It Is alongside Ma$e. Earlier this month, Cam blamed the Detroit Lions’ loss in their divisional round game against the Washington Commanders on LiAngelo’s performance of his hit song at the halftime break. Also, in October 2024, Cam’ron and LiAngelo traded shots at each other after Cam roasted G3 for his career playing overseas and alleged he wasn’t good enough to make it in the NBA like his brothers Lonzo and LaMelo Ball.
