Following Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson pulling his public support for Republican Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, the current POTUS earned approval from another rapper. However, Trump’s latest endorsement is not coming from someone as legendary as 50 Cent.
“Gucci Gang” rhymer Gazzy “Lil Pump” Garcia is now Team MAGA. Pump took to social media to tell his followers he is backing the president’s run for re-election. He posted an expletive-filled Instagram Story blasting Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
“All I gotta say is Trump 2020, b####! F### I look like paying an extra 33 in tax for Biden, b#### a## n####? F### ‘Sleepy Joe’ n####! Trump 2020, b####!” screamed Lil Pump into his phone camera. He seemed to be referring to former Vice President Biden’s proposed policy of raising taxes for individuals earning over $400,000 annually.
The 20-year-old South Florida native also uploaded a photoshopped picture of himself with Trump in the White House. Pump’s Instagram comment section was mixed with people co-signing his political stance, while others wrote they were unfollowing him on IG.
Additionally, Lil Pump’s name became a trending topic on Twitter. Some conservatives jumped at the chance to trumpet a celebrity showing support for Trump. Nevertheless, most users on the platform clowned Pump as an irrelevant artist or slammed him for trolling about voting for a supposed white supremacist. Plus, an old tweet from the day after the 2016 election resurfaced where Pump stated, “F### DONALD TRUMP.”
2019’s Harverd Dropout was Lil Pump’s most recent body of work. The project opened at #7 on the Billboard 200 with 48,000 first-week units and dropped off the album chart after just seven weeks. He has not had a Top 40 hit since “Arms Around You” with the late XXXTentacion, Maluma, and Swae Lee in 2018.
F### DONALD TRUMP

*Language warning* This is definitely an unexpected endorsement. Lil Pump has endorsed Donald Trump. He really does not seem like a fan of Sleepy Joe. Not exactly my style of endorsement but..😂 pic.twitter.com/jKPZeimx7N

Two men that rejected Trump character in 2016, but valued policy enough to vote Trump in 2020.
