Mary J. Blige has finally given fans what they’ve been asking for, unveiling a limited-edition boot inspired by her signature style statement boots.
The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul joined forces with Giuseppe Zanotti for the highly-anticipated boot. Called “The Mary Boot,” the slouchy mirrored rose gold thigh-high creations feature a block heel.
The boots are sold at giuseppezanotti.com for $1,295. They are also exclusively available at Atlanta’s Giuseppe Zanotti boutique.
Mary J. Blige teased the collab during her Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit last weekend.
“The Mary J. Blige boot is officially in the universe,” she announced in a recent video. “Everybody’s been asking for it. The announcement was made on stage while I was wearing them with a f###### fire outfit.”

The announcement made waves on social media as fans eagerly waited for the singer known for her statement boots to create versions for her supporters.
While some fans balked at the price point, others staunchly defended Mary J. Blige.
“What’s the confusion of the Mary J Blige x Giuseppe boots?” one person asked. “I hope the confusion is only coming from Gen Z. Anyone older should understand why this makes sense. She’s a living legend. She’s rich, fly and iconic.”

Another stated the “price point is on brand,” for the iconic songstress. “Like, come awnnn she’s Mary J. Blige,” they added. “Her core audience got the coins. Them boots ain’t for Power fans. Those are for the Aunties who purchase her tix yearly and know every track on “What’s the 411?”

It’s that everybody is NOT your target audience!
This new collab between Mary J Blige and Giuseppe Zanotti is genius!
Mary has been known for having the thigh high boots as a part of her signature look since the 90s

(I think any surprise around Mary J. Blige’s boot collaborator is rooted in personal perception of who she is, not brand misalignment on her end.) pic.twitter.com/7E7PvjKXq9

Why does Mary J Blige HAVE to make a boot collaboration that’s in the Aldo/ Steve Madden price range???

QUICKLY. pic.twitter.com/vxt6niikRt
So confused on why folks think Mary J Blige would do a Steve Madden shoe. She’s literally the reason y’all can identify and wear “luxury designer” brands. Them size 10s are always in a luxury boot. https://t.co/Jq6wJKVPve
