Megan Thee Stallion returned to Houston to announce her anime series at DreamCon 2025, blending her love for animation with her expanding business ventures.

Megan Thee Stallion unveiled her upcoming anime series and celebrated Black creativity at DreamCon 2025 in Houston during a packed fireside chat with fans and creators.

The Houston-born rapper took the stage Friday (May 30) at the George R. Brown Convention Center to announce her latest project—a new anime series coming to Amazon Prime Video.

According to reports, the series is being developed in collaboration with Carl Jones, best known for his work on The Boondocks.

The announcement was met with loud cheers from the crowd, many of whom were dressed in cosplay and anime-inspired outfits.

Megan Thee Stallion revealed that the series will reflect her personal style, humor and love for strong female characters, nodding to her longtime admiration for Bleach’s Yoruichi Shihōin.

The conversation, moderated by streamer Briana Williams, also known as Storymodebae, touched on Megan’s growing business empire.

She spoke about her swimwear line, Hot Girl Swim, her tequila brand, Chicas Divertidas and her ownership of several Popeyes franchises.

The anime series does not yet have a release date, but it will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
