Method Man To Serve As A Judge On ‘Drop The Mic’ Rap Battle Show

CELEBRITIES WILL FACE OFF IN A WAR OF WORDS ON TBS

(AllHipHop News) Clifford “Method Man” Smith is returning to TV for another gig.

After regular stints on The Wire and The Breaks, Meth will serve as a judge on the upcoming TBS program Drop The Mic.

Four celebrities will go head-to-head in a war of words each week with the studio audience selecting the winner.

According to BillboardThe Late Late Show host James Corden is executive producing the show.

The Drop The Mic series was inspired by Corden’s viral 2016 rap battle against Anne Hathaway.

Other stars that have taken part in The Late Late Show‘s popular comedy segment include Jennifer Hudson, Kevin Hart, and Usain Bolt.

“I don’t think it is a mean-spirited thing,” said Corden. “If you watch a roast on television it’s really just a monologue of disses and someone sits there and takes it.”

Method Man will be joined by model Hailey Baldwin at the judging table.

Drop The Mic is scheduled to debut on October 26.
