After winning two Grammy awards this past year, Nelly will have to make room on his mantle for another award. The Midwest rapper was honored with an ASCAP Pop Music Award for his hits, “Hot in Herre,” “Dilemma” and Jagged Edge’s “Where the Party At?”
Former Murder Inc. production guru 7 Aurelius was also awarded for his contributions to Ja Rule’s “Always on Time,” Ashanti’s “Foolish” and “I’m Real” by Jennifer Lopez.
Other winners included the aforementioned Ashanti, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige and rocker Lenny Kravitz.
