(AllHipHop News) “Skinny” Joey Merlino is a well-known Philly crime boss who has survived numerous attempts on his life over the past 20 years in the City of Brotherly Love.

According to Skinny Joey, he was excited to see Meek back on the streets of Philadelphia.

“I’m glad he’s at home with his family where he belongs,” Skinny Joey Merlino said during a press conference regarding his own pending prison sentence.

Just as Meek Mill gained his freedom last week, Skinny Joey was losing his, after being released from a 12-year sentence, which ended in 2011.

The mobster pleaded guilty to an illegal betting charge on Friday (April 27).

Skinny Joey is looking at up to 16 months in prison this September when he is sentenced for racketeering, fraud, extortion, loan sharking and other crimes on the East Coast.
