Quavo and Chris Brown’s longstanding animosity apparently has not died down. Internet users have not let the comparisons end either.
A clip from the New Rory & Mal podcast began circulating on social media. In the video, the hosts of the show debate who is more relevant at the moment, the Migos rapper or the R&B singer.
“In any room, Chris Brown is the bigger star than Quavo,” Mal argued on the program. Images of the two music stars sitting next to each other at a recent fashion event sparked the discussion.
Quavo seemingly responded to the “bigger star” conversation that took place on New Rory & Mal and the X platform. The “Straightenin” rhymer tweeted, “The biggest QUAVO HUNCHO!! Aint goin back and forth.”
On Monday (January 22), Chris Brown reacted to the footage of him and Quavo at the Rhude show. Brown stated, “Can’t pick who u sit by. F### all that growth s###. N#### not finna fumble my bag for little n#####.”
The apparent issues between Chris Brown and Quavo go back years. Supposedly, the bad blood stems from both entertainers having a romantic history with actress/model Karrueche Tran.
In 2017, Brown’s crew and the Migos entourage reportedly had a heated confrontation following that year’s BET Awards. There were reports that some violence broke out before both sides separated.
As far as commercial success, Chris Brown has charted 117 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart throughout his career, including two No. 1 hits. Migos have 43 entries and one chart-topper. Quavo’s solo catalog contains 33 Hot 100 entries and one No. 1 single.
