Chicago-based rapper Rhymefest will inherit a few more friends on his Myspace page, courtesy of a new contest he’s holding to give away two free tickets to this year’s Lollapalooza festival in Grant Park.
The giveaway comes as Rhymefest prepares to release his new album El Che this fall.
The release takes its name from Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara, who famously said “Revolution is the only solution.”
“You don’t want to miss me performing live at Lollapalooza on Aug. 4th on the PlayStation stage – trust it will be a show like no other” said the rapper, who will be on the PlayStation stage from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Those interested in entering the contest can visit www.myspace.com and add Rhymefest as a friend.
In addition, contestants have to explain in 100 words or less what being a revolutionary means to you.
Entries must be sent to Rhymefest as a message via his myspace.com page no later than 3 p.m. tomorrow (Aug. 2).
Contestants need to post Lollapalooza Ticket Giveaway in the subject line of their message and include a contact number.
All entries will be posted on the comment section of Rhymefest’s profile until Thursday night.
The winner, who will be selected Friday morning (Aug. 3), will have their comment posted on Rhymefest’s blog by noon central standard time.
In addition, that person will be added to Rhymefest’s Top Friends list and receive a visit from Rhymefest, who will personally deliver two passes to his Lollapalooza performance on Saturday (Aug. 4).
Contestants must reside or be in the Chicago area on Friday to receive the delivery.
