(AllHipHop News) Rap star Rich Homie Quan has signed a recording contract with bosses at Motown Records and Capitol Music Group months after his legal battle with his former label.
Rich Homie, real name Dequantes Devontay Lamar, filed a lawsuit against label bosses Think It’s A Game Records in 2015, alleging they owed him $2 million in unpaid royalties.
Company executives counter-sued the 27-year-old, claiming the “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” star failed to report money earned from unauthorized music released while still under contract to the label.
“First and foremost I would like to thank God for this amazing opportunity,” a statement from the rapper reads. “I’m excited to be a part of a building that has such great history in music. I look forward to this new chapter in my life and giving my fans the best I have to offer.”
