(AllHipHop News) R&B singer Rihanna will be getting major exposure via two high profile appearances. Rihanna recently wrapped up shooting the video for “Love the Way You Lie,”, her #1 single with Detroit rapper Eminem from his hit album Recovery. The pair shot the video last week in Los Angeles by director Joseph Kahn. In addition to Eminem and Rihanna, the video features actress Megan Fox and actor Dominic Monaghan. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Rihanna revealed that she “connected” with the record because of Eminem’s lyrics about striking his partner, although he condemns the actions in his verse. “It’s something that, you know, we’ve both experienced, you know, on different sides, different ends of the table,” Rihanna told Access Hollywood, alluding to her widely publicized physical altercation with singer Chris Brown. “The lyrics were so deep, so beautiful and intense. It’s something that I understood, something I connected with,” Rihanna said. In related news, Rihanna has landed her first major motion picture feature role in the movie Battleship, AllHipHop.com has learned. The live-action movie, which will also star Alexander Skarsgard and Taylor Kitsch, is based on Hasbro‘s board game of the same name. The video for “Love the Way You Lie” is slated to debut sometime this week. Battleship is slated for a May 25th, 2012 release date.
