(AllHipHop News) Two of the top lyricists in the culture combined forces for the track/video “Boblo Boat.” Detroit’s Royce Da 5’9″ recruited Fayetteville’s J. Cole for the collaboration.

“I knew that I wanted to put somebody else on it to make it a little bit more broad. I didn’t want it to be so super-personal to where people wouldn’t get it,” Royce told Beats 1’s The Pharmacy. “Me and Cole had been talking about doing some stuff, so when he came to Detroit, and we were working at the studio, I played him a song like, ‘What would you do for a hook for this?'”

“Boblo Boat” is on the tracklist for the Book of Ryan album which is due out May 4. Royce will also hit the road with DJ Premier for the “PRhyme 2 Tour” beginning May 30.
