Chinese scientist have developed a new mutant strain of COVID-19 that displays a high rate of fatalities—but the public shouldn’t be concerned.
Multiple reports have confirmed that Chinese scientists have been experimenting with a mutant COVID strain that reportedly has a 100 percent mortality rate in mice. The strain reportedly attacks the brains of mice who were “engineered” to reflect a similar genetic makeup to humans. The research shows the mice lost weight, became sluggish after contracting the virus and would display symptoms such as a hunched posture and white eyes the day before they died. The subjects survived just eight days after being infected.
Despite the aforementioned, scientists believe humans shouldn’t be alarmed about another lab leak, especially if the experiments are well done. Fingers crossed these were well done.
