(AllHipHop News) After headlining the 10th annual Dilla Day Weekend in February and after finishing up a 13-date European tour, Slum Village has announced an official U.S. tour with 24 dates.
The ten-year anniversary tour is called the “All Detroit Everything Tribute World Tour.”
Previously the group was touring Europe with stops in the UK, Russia, France, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Ireland and Switzerland,
The North American leg of the tour, called the “The Kings Court Tour,” also features fellow Detroit royalty Black Milk, Guilty Simpson, Phat Kat and Blaq RoyalT (the artist formerly known as Young RJ).
The tour starts in the West, then winds its way East with Midwest stops in Iowa, Kansas, Chicago and Detroit.
The lap around the country rounds itself out on the East Coast, eventually touching down in Philly, NYC and Boston, with a last show in the nation’s capital, Washington D.C.
“Our brother Dilla is looking down on us, we know he would have mad love for this tour as it’s all Detroit Everything” Slum Village said in a press statement to AllHipHop.
“It’s nice to finally bring it all together,” Black Milk added, “for years, this is the kind of tour I visualized; some of Detroit’s best hip-hop acts on one bill, traveling from city to city.”
Slum Village’s Yes! project that released in 2015 was a return for the revered Detroit collective as Yes! garnered massive press.
The album Yes! was almost entirely produced by J Dilla and featured appearances from De La Soul, Jon Connor, Phife, Black Milk, BJ The Chicago Kid, Bilal, Illa J & J Ivy
