(AllHipHop News) Atlanta trap star T.I., legendary rapper Queen Latifah and long time comedian Mike Epps are set to star in a new indie comedy “The Trap,” which will be directed by Chris Robinson, also director of 2006 hit film ATL.
The Hollywood Reporter indicates that Queen Latifah and Flavor Unit Entertainment partner Shakim Compere are to produce the movie, along with Epps and his partner at Naptown Productions, Niles Kirchner.
In addition, T.I. will produce under his Grand Hustle Films banner with his partner Brian Sher.
Director Chris Robinson is also slated to pitch in on production as well.
“The Trap’s” script, which was written by Niles Evan, is based on a story that he concocted with the help of Epps.
The storyline for The Trap revolves around a man (T.I.) who returns home to Atlanta following a lenghty absence to help revive his mother’s restaurant. A new chicken recipe does the trick, but presents unanticipated problems for the collective as well.
Filming for the movie is set to begin this Fall, with Jesse Collins to executive produce.
