(AllHipHop News) It looks like T.I.’s open letters are not enough for the rapper to express his opinion about the state of America and the upcoming swearing-in of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States of America.
T.I., who recently started penning a series of open letters to President Barack Obama, Donald Trump and America, put a number of people on blast for meeting with Donald Trump, since he was named the winner of the U.S. elections in November of 2016.
Now, people like Kanye West, Steve Harvey, Jim Brown and now Dr. Martin Luther King’s son MLK III, have drawn the wrath of the Atlanta rap star/turned activist for meeting with the future POTUS, who has made racist and offensive comments about almost everyone as he ran to get elected.
“Look, I’m going to tell all you celebrities; black, minority, all of you. Man, athlete’s, man. All of you. Look, let me tell you something. There’s a strategic plan that people are trying to make you a part of, okay? Do not accept any invitation to have any meeting,” T.I. said in a series of posts on Instagram earlier tonight (January 15).
“No matter how positive you think the outcome may be. Without understanding, man. People have a very Willie lynch, agenda, okay? You being there being seen with them, taking pictures and smiling and being positive. It may seem positive to you, but there’s a hidden agenda, man. You might not know it, but now you have been warned. Do not go in there unless you have a strategy or you’re with John Lewis or somebody who can represent us.”
T.I. then put a number of his celebrity friends on blast for taking meetings with Donald Trump and laid out what he believed was an overarching conspiracy by the President-Elect to win over the African-American community.
“What do they do? They get Kanye West to come in. ‘Well, he’s their representative. They listen to his music, they buy his shoes, they go see him in concert. Well, surely we could take a picture with him. He smiles and says he’s cool with it, they’ll fall right in line.’. Okay,” T.I. snapped.
“Also, you’ve got black women, you know, they were against it. ‘Well, who speaks to the black women? Steve Harvey. Let’s get him in here. He’ll take a picture. He’ll smile. He’ll say it’s cool. They’ll fall right in line. Who else? They love football. Let’s get Ray Lewis. Let’s get Jim Brown. They were the heroes. Surely, if they say they’re cool with it.’”
T.I. also questioned Martin Luther King III’s meeting with Donald Trump today, on a national holiday, which would have also been the slain civil rights leader’s 88th birthday.
The meeting also came just days after Donald Trump put legendary civil rights activist Rep. John Lewis on blast during a Twitter fit, after Lewis labeled Trump an “illegitimate President.”
“Homeboy [Lewis] was one of the most prolific civil rights activists of our times, you’re going to get Martin Luther King’s son, on Martin Luther King Day, to come in there and meet with you? Man, you all have got to see this, man. Divide and conquer.
T.I. warned Kanye and the others to stay away from Donald Trump, referring to the infamous Willie Lynch letter, which was purportedly written by a former slave owner as a manifesto to control the slaves in early America
“Kanye, what the f### you doing, man? Steve [Harvey], man, you know way better than them, man. You know what I’m saying? Jim Brown? Really? Martin Luther King [III], man, it’s your God damned daddy birthday, bro. You going to go sit down with … Hey, man, divide and conquer, bro. You know what I mean? Willie Lynch. Read up on it. Don’t be a part of it. Be against it.”
