Rapper Talib Kweli will be honored this weekend,
under the masthead "Exploring Expressions of Social Responsibility"
at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum on Saturday, April 26th from 1:00 to 2:00
PM.
The presentation, which has been organized by
the Museum Team in cooperation with the kids enrolled in the museum’s after-school
program, will pay homage to Kweli in a documentary, exhibition and performance.
Kweli’s Black Star partner, Mos Def, will also make a guest appearance.
Kweli has consistently elevated hip-hop with
his socially conscientious tracks and his newest single "Get By" is
no exception to his resume.
The record has been receiving love on both the
radio airwaves and video countdowns.
Admission to the presentation is a modest $4.00,
which will contribute to the support of educational programs at the museum.
Anyone interested in attending should RSVP by

The Brooklyn Children’s Museum is housed at 145
