(AllHipHop News) Young Money rapper Tyga will return to his high school tomorrow (October 20) to inspire students, after a deadly shooting took place in January.
Tyga, born Michael Stevenson, will make an appearance at Gardena high school in Gardena, California.
Tyga, who attended the school from 2004 – 2005, is returning to the school to help students heal from a deadly January 18 shooting.
Two students were injured in the shooting, which took place when a 17-year-old’s gun accidentally discharged in a class of students.
The teen was arrested for his role in the shooting and sentenced to nine months in a juvenile camp and probation until he is 21.
Tyga will talk to the students about the importance of hard work, education and what it takes to succeed in the entertainment industry.
The appearance, which is taking part in conjunction with the La Belle Vie Foundation, is part of tigers new campaign “Tyga R.O.A.R. – Tyga Reaches Out And Represents.”
R.OA.R is a youth education empowerment program designed to support underprivileged and economically challenged youth.
Tyga is also preparing the release of his Young Money debut album Careless World will be released on November 19, 2011.
