Wale Reflects On Collabing With Megan Thee Stallion & Rihanna During His Career

The Every Blue Moon label head shares his favorite all-time duet.

(AllHipHop News) Wale has worked with numerous other artists. The DMV representative recently spoke about connecting with Hot Girls leader Megan Thee Stallion for “Pole Dancer.”

“She’s just a star,” said Wale during an interview with Travis Mills on Apple Music’s Beats 1. “I knew that the first time I ever met her. She’s just a star. She was made to do this.” 

The American-born emcee of Nigerian descent acknowledged he and Meg offer each other advice at times. Wale was later asked to name his favorite collaboration from his extensive catalog.

“Well, I was just listening in the lobby to the one me and Rihanna did, that was fun. We went out partying all night, and then we laid that joint down,” stated Wale. “That one sticks out to me, because I’m like, ‘Dang, I pulled it off.’”

The “Bad (Remix)” with Rihanna was a hit during The Gifted album era. Singer-songwriter Tiara Thomas appeared on the original version of the 2013 tune which peaked at #21 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Wale has been working on his sixth studio LP, the follow-up to 2017’s Shine. His latest single is “On Chill” featuring Jeremih. That record has already entered the Hot 100 and rose to #55 on the most recent chart.
