Block Entertainment rapper Yung Joc has been tapped to star in a new national ad campaign promoting Rockport’s Established 1971 collection.
Launching in the Spring of 2007 in select magazines, the print ads also features R&B singer Lyfe Jennings, actor Wood Harris and MTV television personality, Coltrane Curtis.
“I’m pleased to be in a position to help market and introduce a new and fresh product such as Rockport’s [Established 1971] urban line,” Yung Joc told AllHipHop.com.
The ad campaign was shot in Miami and features each celebrity representing different styles of dress.
“We identified four, dynamic entrepreneurs sharing Rockport’s passion for innovation and self-expression,” said Curtis Charles, Rockport senior vice president of sales. “The Established 1971 collection is about individualism and authentic flavor and style. ”
In addition to the ad campaign, each celebrity will participate in special Established 1971 events that will take place in various local markets throughout the United States.
Rockport, which is a company within the adidas Group, manufactures, designs, distributes and markets footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and children worldwide.
