A$AP Rocky just dished out some details about his upcoming sophomore effort, ‘A.L.L.A’. During a chat with Billboard, Pretty Flacko revealed who filled the guest spots on the album.
“Three years ago, I did a song with Twigs,” he said after being reluctant to talk about the features. “Also Lykke Li. Juicy J, Clams Casino. I can’t give nothing else away.”
Juicy J will also be listed as one of the album’s executive producers alongside A$AP Yams, who passed away in January.

As far as the album’s completion, the Harlemnite said that it’s finished.
“I’m mastering it right now. It’s coming soon. Seriously soon.”
With this album, the “Multiply” rapper said he dug deeper to show the fans another aspect of his artistry.
“How diverse it is. People really don’t know the other side of me. The deeper side, the more musical side, the more intellectual side. When I first came on the scene it was more of this trendy, bourgeois, pizazz attitude. That’s still me but at the end of the day I think that kind of overshadowed the whole purpose of me doing what I do. I’m an incredibly diverse artist, I’m a universal artist. At least that’s how I see it.”
A family’s night at the movies on Valentine’s Day turned into a horror show when a husband and father was beaten to death
The Black University of Virginia student who was brutally beaten by Alcohol Beverage Control agents this week has issued a statement.
At a press conference, 20-year-old UVA junior Martese Johnson had his lawyer Daniel P. Watkins read his prepared statement. Johnson says he did not have a fake identification card and the discrepancy occurred when the bouncer asked him to recite the zip code on his card and he said a different one that was not on the card.
“I’m shocked that my face was slammed into the brick pavement just across the street from where I attend school,” Watkins read. “Three officers then pinned me to the ground, pressing their knees in my back while blood flowed freely from the gash to my head. As the officers held me down, one thought raced through my mind, ‘How could this happen?’ My head lay bloody but unbowed. I still believe in our community. I know this community will support me during this time. I trust the scars on my face and head will one day heal. But the trauma from what the ABC officers did yesterday will stay with me forever. I believe we as a community are better than this. We cannot allow the actions of a few officers to ruin the community of trust we have worked so hard to build.”

While trying to enter popular bar Trinity Irish Pub on St. Patrick’s Day, Johnson was pulled out of the line when the bouncer thought his ID card was fake. He was then approached by the ABC agents and thrown into the pavement, which would cause the massive gash on his head that bled profusely as he was apprehended. Johnson received 10 stitches and charged with public intoxication and obstruction of justice.
The Virginia governor has ordered that this brutal arrest be investigated by the Virginia State Police, USA Today reports.
“We owe it to both Mr. Johnson and the Virginia ABC to be painstakingly thorough in determining the facts of the situation through interviews, evidence collection and analysis, and investigative procedure,” said Virginia State Police Superintendent Col. W. Steven Flaherty on Thursday. “We appreciate the public’s patience as we move through the investigative process in the coming weeks.”

A missing black man from Mississippi was found hanging from a tree on Thursday (Mar. 19). Otis Byrd, 54, was found with a bed sheet tied around his neck and a skull cap on his head, CNN reports.
The FBI is now investigating to see if this was a suicide or a homicide. FBI Supervisory Special Agent Jason Pack said there are unclear circumstances around this suspicious death and that “it is too early to say what happened and speculate.”
Mississippi Wildlife Fisheries and Parks found Byrd’s body after conducting a search through the woods.
His body was found 500 yards from his family’s home. Byrd had not been seen since Mar. 2nd and he was reported missing Mar. 8th.
The Byrd family said that they believed that the body was Byrd but was not allowed near the crime scene. Local NAACP members also confirmed his identity and are pushing for a full investigation of his death.
“Considering Mr. Byrd’s body was found hanging from a tree, we are calling on federal authorities to immediately investigate to determine whether his death is a result of a racial hate crime,” said Derrick Johnson, state president Mississippi NAACP.
The FBI is investigating whether there were any civil rights violations as well as the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Mississippi and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.

Lil’ Wayne is reportedly writing a tell-all book and revealing that Drake once betrayed him. TMZ reports that Weezy is shopping around a book proposal to different publishers. In the proposal, the Young Money general claims that Drake slept with his then girlfriend while he was serving time on Rikers Island in New York. Wayne says that Drake visited him and told him “Yeah, it’s true. Don’t f–k with her like that cause I did f–k her.”
After hearing that his girlfriend smashed the homie, Wayne writes that he was distraught.
“This is the type of s–t that a man never wants to find out when he’s locked up. Or, maybe so, cause only God knows what I would have done if I wasn’t locked up right now…”I woke up feeling f—d up about the f—d up day that I had … finding out that she f—d Drake was the absolute worst thing I could’ve ever found out…”As a man, honestly, that s–t hurt … and not because it was Drake, it could have been any man. It would’ve hurt the same.”
Wayne writes that his girlfriend said she slept with Drake the day before she met him. He said that he was so depressed that he could not leave his cell for days.
There is no word on what else will be revealed in the book, like details on his current feud with Birdman.
(AllHipHop News) When Drake rapped “Take a flick. I look like Meechy, look like Bleu DaVinci,” on “Ten Bands” he apparently earned the respect of incarcerated BMF leader Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory. That’s according to Bleu DaVinci himself. The BMF entertainment affiliate did an interview with DJ Smallz Eyes where he spoke about Drizzy.
“[Meech] let me know recently when I do see Drake to give him a pound and a hug, because he really appreciated the shout out,” said DaVinci. “When you’re in prison and the top dog in the industry says your name, everybody in the day room’s like, ‘Ohhh!'”
DaVinci added the Toronto native now has numerous supporters in jail. He declared Drake has backing whenever he is in Los Angeles as well.
“Crips and Bloods, he got all kind of homeboys. He mentioned those two names, his pass got crazy,” DaVinci stated. “He can go anywhere he wants to go in L.A. I’m gonna send them real riders with him… He’ll be able to slide through the whole city and do what he wants.”

Method Man recently stopped by The Real to discuss his current projects. While on the couch, he talked about once being catfished by a fan and his latest film with Adam Sandler, The Cobbler. The ladies of The Real asked if he could trade shoes with anybody who would it be. The Wu-Tang rapper said, “Blue Ivy.”
“You get to be around Jay and Bey all day.. the other reason is my best friend is North West. Then you get to roll around in a golden 24k stroller. I’m like if I’ma go back as a baby, what better baby to be than Blue Ivy.”
Blue Ivy does have it made though!

Interesting. While everyone else in Black Hollywood is trying to get a piece of the Empire pie. Bow Wow is trying to stay away. Bow Wow now has Roll Bounce, Like Mike, Lottery Ticket, and Madea’s Big Happy Family, and his role on CSI under his belt. The rapper- actor says he wouldn’t take a job on Empire because it stereotypes Black actors. He expressed his feeling in an interview with Global 14 about racial diversity as it relates to his role on the CSI spinoff, CSI: Cyber.
“When we were still filming Cyber episodes, Empire‘s first episode premiered. Fans were saying, ‘Man, you should have been on the show.’ But we all don’t rap or play basketball,” he said. “We can do so many things. There are young African-Americans who are intelligent enough to work at the FBI. That’s what’s so bright. Hopefully, I can help start a new wave of young black actors who don’t want to stereotype themselves.”

(AllHipHop News) Prosecutors in Marion “Suge” Knight’s murder case have requested a judge to set his bail at $25 million, according to a report by AOL.com.
Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Barnes cited 31 incidents where Knight allegedly threatened violence against other individuals since 2004, and the motion also accused Suge of extorting both up-and-coming and established rappers. The Death Row Records co-founder supposedly made $10 million off one extortion scheme.
“Apparently when a new artist or rapper comes to either Los Angeles or Las Vegas, he is required to pay a ‘tax’ to defendant Knight,” stated Barnes’ motion.
In an exclusive 2014 interview with AllHipHop.com, former associate Lloyd Lake recalled Knight asking him to confront Drake at one point. He did not confirmed whether Knight asked him to extort money from the Young Money star, but he did relay his concerned the move was a set-up implemented by the FBI.
“One night [Knight] called me and said, ‘I need you to go push on Drake for me,'” said Lake. “I already had in my mind [Knight] could be an informant, but the only reason I went down there was to check to see if I could figure out if he really was an informant and to see if I saw any FBI or anybody in the vicinity or in the club. Sure enough I did. They followed me everywhere I moved through there.”
Knight is currently being held without bail for a January hit-and-run incident that left Cle “Bone” Sloan injured and Terry Carter dead. Knight pled not guilty to murder, attempted murder, and hit-and-run charges. He is scheduled to return to a Los Angeles court this morning.

The Game is not too happy with Nike right now. He recently took to his Instagram page to let his fans know that they would not see him or his crew in the Drew League this year because they refused to be bullied by corporate companies today or ever. Apparently The Game and Nike couldn’t come to an agreement on how the organization would continue to run. The Game has a problem with a company taking a home grown organization and making it “go corporate” because according to him, when it goes corporate it takes the raw original format and waters it down. It then becomes something forced versus something real and authentic for the neighborhood. The downside is that kids used to seeing their favorite professional athletes playing basketball in their neighborhood for free will no longer have this opportunity until they come to some sort of agreement, or until someone else launches a similar project. Check out the rest of The Game’s statement below.
(AllHipHop News) A$AP Ferg had been catching some flack for recent comments he made during an interview with NPR’s Microphone Check. During the discussion, the “Shabba” rapper put forth the idea that the Internet has played a role in moving young people past racism.
“That’s what it is about this culture of the Internet. Is everything is merged. There’s no racism with the Internet. Racism is probably like five generations ago,” said Ferg. “Racism been over. It’s the old people that keep on holding on to it. We don’t hold on to that s**t. We don’t know racism… My little brother had white girlfriends. And that’s regular.”
Ferg later clarified his comments via a Twitter post. He wrote:
Just to be clear, I am fully aware racism still exists. The point I was trying to make that within the group of like-minded, progressive thinking people that I interact with, racism and separatism doesn’t exist to the extent that it did generations ago.

(AllHipHop News) Dame Dash’s recent appearance on The Breakfast Club will go done as one of the radio show’s most infamous interviews. Dash became a trending topic on Twitter for over 24 hours, and part one of the video now has over 1 million views on YouTube.
The segment has become so popular because of the somewhat heated exchange between Dash and TBC‘s co-hosts Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy. Charlamagne spoke about the sit down during an episode of his The Brilliant Idiots podcast with Andrew Schulz.
“Dame wasn’t hostile… Fredro [Starr] was hostile, “said Charlamagne. “Dame was what I expected him to be.”
After Schulz complimented Charlamagne for keeping his composure and refusing to give Dash’s comments power, the outspoken radio personality added, “Envy looked a little crazy… if you follow the words of the person talking in circles, it’s you that gets dizzy.”
The Brilliant Idiots episode also included Charlamagne calling out Dame for referring to him as a “Chatty Patty” when Dame spoke on the rumors of Jay Z being connected to government informants while on the Sway In The Morning show. Charlamagne also suggested some of Dame’s statements on The Breakfast Club were harmful.
“When I watch back the interview, you see so many flaws in his argument, and you realize how dangerous the rhetoric was,” stated CTG. “If you’re a boss like you say, it’s very dangerous to not show any respect for your customers.”
