Judge Revokes Chris Brown's Probation

A judge has totally revoked Chris Brown’s probation in the Rihanna case.

A pair of shootings at club appearances prompted the action, even though Brown was not directly involved in either incident. Authorities feel the singer should serve time, because the shootings happened at his shows.

Sunday in San Jose, five people were shot at a Chris Brown event. And then, Suge Knight was infamously shot at a Breezy party, along with several others at a VMA party in August.

Additionally, a judge said that the singer left the county for San Jose without the permission of the court, which constitutes a violation of his probation.

The singers probation officer said, “There is also concern that when he performs or attends at some of his public events, people will get shot or seriously injured.”

Furthermore, Chris has been arrested a couple of times while on probation, an offense that would normally warrant jail time.

The probation officer recommends jail time, because the singers demonstrates a “pattern of making choices that are counterproductive.”

A formal hearing will happen on March 20.

Florida Police Caught Using African-American Mugshots As Target Practice

A North Miami Beach police department is under fire, after being caught using criminal mugshots for target practice at a gun range often used for officer training. In an unbelievable coincidence,  during a December visit to the range Sgt. Valerie Deant discovered that not only were the mugshots of minority offenders being used, one of the photos posted was that of her own brother, who had been arrested over 15 years ago in connection with a drag race.

Said Deant, “I was like why is my brother being used for target practice? There were like gunshots there and I cried a couple of times.”

According to the Medley Firearms Training Center, the venue is often leased to local law enforcement agencies, who are allowed to choose their own target photos.

Though many are outraged at the racial implications of the act, North Miami Beach Police Chief J. Scott Dennis has denied that race played a part stating “Our policies were not violated. There is no discipline forthcoming from the individuals who were involved with this.”

Cormega: I Don't Respect When NYC Artists Sound Like They're From The South

(AllHipHop News) There has been a lot of discussion over the last decade about the state of New York City Hip Hop. One of the reasons often given for why the birthplace of the culture is not dominating on the national level any longer is because too many rappers from the city adopted a down south sound.

Whether that is the case or not, NYC representative Cormega has expressed he is not feeling the idea of rappers from his hometown fully embracing the southern rap style. Mega did an interview with ReThunk, and the Queens native shared his thoughts about New Yorkers sounding like they are from the Third Coast.

“You hear New York rappers that have production that sound like they’re southern artists. Or accents from their voice that sound like they’re southern artists,” said Mega. “That I don’t respect, because your accent is a direct reflection of where you’re from.”

Cormega is not sour on all the young talent emerging from the Big Apple. The creator of 2014’s Mega Philosophy album names Joey Bada$$ as one of the acts he does appreciate. Mega even compared the Pro Era frontman to early Black Moon.

“When you hear [Joey] you hear Brooklyn, so I respect that,” Cormega added. “You can tell he also studied from the greats.”

There is no official release date for SPE, but Jahlil spoke with Nah Right about the joint project. The creator of tracks like Meek Mill’s “Ima Boss” and Bobby Shmurda’s “Hot N***a” says Beans has not missed a step when it comes to rhyming.

“I sampled some old records, like old records from the ‘90s, but put my twist to it. It ain’t like he shying away and trying to do the new s**t to fit in with the young dudes, you know what I am saying?” said Jahlil. “We doing some real street s**t, but it fit with what is going on right now. And Beans never lost it. He’s only getting better as far as the lyricism.”

Ebro: Nicki Minaj Is Upset Ex-Boyfriend Safaree Claimed To Write Her Lyrics (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Hot 97 radio host Ebro Darden has apparently taken sides in the public split between Nicki Minaj and her ex-boyfriend Safaree “SB” Samuels. After SB decided to do an interview with rival station Power 105, Ebro used his platform to throw a few jabs at Safaree and relay a supposed message from the Queen Barb herself.

Safaree’s sit down with The Breakfast Club included the aspiring rapper claiming he helped write for Nicki when they were together. According to Ebro, he spoke to the Young Money entertainer and Minaj was not pleased that SB would make those assertions.

“She was most upset about the idea that someone else was writing her rhymes,” stated Ebro. “When you look at Nicki Minaj’s album credits, there’s a lot of people that work on albums… But when you assert that somebody wrote your rhymes – you know that’s Nicki’s thing.”

The segment also included Ebro saying SB was “super lame” for doing interviews because he was never a public figure. The radio personality also suggested Safaree should have “played the back” to Nicki, and co-host Peter Rosenberg added SB should not “pimp some new chicks” in a car his ex allegedly bought for him.
