(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj has faced her fair share of controversy throughout her career. The latest criticism being thrown at the Young Money rapper is not over the usual complaints about hyper sexuality. Some observers are upset about Nicki’s new lyric video for her single “Only.”

The visual for the track displays a cartoon Nicki leading an army of soldiers that are wearing red arm bands similar to ones worn by Nazi Party members. The video also includes insignia featuring “YM”(Young Money) logos and scenes of warfare. Animated versions of guest vocalists Chris Brown, Drake, and Lil Wayne also appear in the clip surrounded by red regalia with the YM letters.
Most of the top comments on the video’s YouTube page are complaints that the clip is irresponsible, insensitive, and anti-Semitic. Twitter users also expressed their outrage over the video.
Sure, Nicki wasn't trying for Nazi imagery. Mm-hmm. pic.twitter.com/k1K6zNkYWJ

(AllHipHop News) Kendrick Lamar stopped by The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show to chat about his new single “i”, his upcoming appearance on Saturday Night Live, and YMCMB’s Lil Wayne. During the discussion, K.Dot offered his opinion on Weezy’s place in Hip Hop history.

“Lil Wayne is a legend. People forget a lot of the work he’s put in and what he’s done for Hip Hop culture,” said Kendrick. “It’s phenomenal.”
The TDE emcee then showed off his impression of Weezy. Kendrick’s take on the Young Money leader may rival Drake’s SNL impersonation of Wayne.
Lamar became the latest public figure to reinforce Wayne’s musical legacy. Slaughterhouse’s Crooked I recently credited Wayne for helping to bring lyricism back to mainstream rap, and a new book by college professor Kreston Kent compares Wayne’s writing ability to William Shakespeare and Bob Dylan.

(AllHipHop News) Over the last few days Chicago rapper Fredo Santana got into a spat online with Atlanta rap group Migos. The situation apparently began when Migos got into an altercation with GBE member Capo, and Fredo then jumped in to support his friend.

After the two sides traded shots on Twitter, Fredo has now dropped a new track titled “Go To War” featuring Lil Reese. The song does not reference Migos directly, but the timing of the release seems to be related to the GBE-Migos conflict.
The track is set to appear on DJ Bandz’ upcoming project that will be hosted by Fredo. Even though Reese appears on “Go To War,” he let it be known a few days ago that he is not getting involved in the beef.

Migos has had issues with Chief Keef’s GBE crew for over a year. Keef accused Migos of sneak dissing which led to social media posts aimed at each other. Migos also released the Keef diss record “Jealousy” last December.

Honestly, for the longest time I had heard that Eminem was completely clean and off drugs. You can see that in his family like this daughter. His kid is doing very, very well. Anyway, Em has been mostly out of the limelight, apparently living a very secluded suburban life. But….the rumors are running rampant. They are suggesting that – based on recent pics – that Eminem is back on that stuff. Remember this?:

I don’t know, but Eminem has talked extensively about how he almost died from drugs in a movie “How To Make Money Selling Drugs”.
“I don’t know at what point exactly it started to be a problem. I just remember liking it more and more. People tried to tell me that I had a problem. I would say ‘Get that f—–g person outta here. I can’t believe they said that sh– to me. I’m not out there shooting heroin. I’m not f—–g out there putting coke up my nose. I’m not smoking crack.”

He also talked about getting his life together:
“Coming off everything, I was literally was up 24 hours a day for three weeks straight. And I mean, not sleeping, not even nodding off for a f—–g minute. I had to regain motor skills, I had to regain talking skills. It’s been a learning process, I’m growing. I couldn’t believe that anybody could be naturally happy without being on something. So I would say to anybody ‘It does get better.'”

Let’s just say you’re a rapper who made it to the finals for Jack Daniels’ Jack’N For Beats competition in St. Louis. The lights get brighter, the crowd gets more intense, and you know what’s worst? DJ Drama just walked in to judge the final round. Pretty intense, right? Well, that’s what happened to rapper Riley B during the competition on Friday. The St. Louis emcee took home the $5000 prize, but it took him some true talent to win over Drama’s decision. The Jack’N For Beats Competition will be in Los Angeles in December, check out these photos and www.jacknforbeats.com for more info.
So If you you peeped the altercation between GBE and Migos, you’ll peep how coincidental this new track is. But, if you don’t, you can go peep our last article about it. Anyways, Fredo dropped his new track “Go To War” featuring Lil Reese today, and it goes hard. The track may have been recorded before GBE members’ Fredo Santana and Capo’s Twitter beef with Migos via Twitter, but it’s a little weird to drop this just after the beef yesterday. Check out the track below, and tell us what you think.

Did you catch Black Dynamite on Adult Swim last night? If you didn’t, it was awesome, not only because of the show’s over-the-top comedy in it’s blaxpoitation sense, but because Chance the Rapper and Erykah Badu were made guests appearances on the show last night. The episode, called “How HoneyBee Got Her Groove Back” featured Chance as Bob Marley and Badu as Rita Marley. Stream the full episode below.
So how obsessed is Tyler, The Creator in regards to N.E.R.D.? Well if you haven’t seen his tweets in the past, this is only another obsession of how crazy Tyler is for Pharrell and Chad Hugo’s camp. Last night at Odd Future’s annual fest, Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, Pharrell headlined along with other big stars appearing such as Mac Miller, Rick Ross, Action Bronson, the list goes on. However, nothing made Tyler more happy (and emotional) than Pharrell bring Chad Hugo out for a classic N.E.R.D. performance for Tyler. Tyler started crying when the duo performed “Rockstar”, but continued to ride with the song. No matter how big you are, there’s always that one person you look up to, and that’s what probably ran through Tyler’s mind at the moment. Check out the video of Tyler and N.E.R.D. below.

When you got a dude like Fredo Santana threatening to kill a whole squad without any worry of going to jail. You know things are real. On Friday, ATL trio Migos got into a confrontation with Capo, a fellow member of GBE, at a Chicago restaurant. There hasn’t been any updates on why the fight went down, but there’s only a IG video of Capo leaving the eatery.
After Friday’s altercation, things didn’t get any better. Migos and Capo dissed each other on Twitter, when all of a sudden Fredo Santana jumped in.

What’s Matt Martian been up to lately, droppin beats. The Odd Future Member and producer behind The Internet released a new beat via Soundcloud yesterday. Martian’s beat “Horn” is co-produced with Odd Future’s own Earl, and it features a very mellowed sound with only a guitar, some trumpets, and a little base. Check out “Horn” below.
Even though this is Cubby’s song, “Jungle” says ATL all over it. The Brooklyn-based producer went to Atlanta’s underground scene to recruit the most prospective in the city. Along with an upbeat and beastly sound, “Jungle” is an odd sound with a few twists. Everyone’s probably heard OG Maco’s “U Guessed It” and thought the man could only scream verses. But if you listen to this track and Rome Fortune’s album Small VVorld, you’d be quite surprised of Maco’s appearances. Listen to “Jungle” below and tell us what you think.
FKA Twigs has to be one of the weirdest artists to arrive to the mainstream in 2014. Whether you like her or not (*cough* Twilight fans), this young London-based singer has brought a new side to music that no-one has heard before, and that new sound was heard nationally on Jimmy Fallon’s show Wednesday. On The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Twigs performed her single Two Weeks during her American TV debut. You can peep the video below. Make sure to check out FKA Twigs project LP1, and find out if she will arrive in your town soon.
What happens when you mix comic books with classic hip hop. Well, you’ll have a rapper like The Marxman. The Brooklyn rapper released his project Days Of Future Past (peep the X-Men inspired title), and at the very least it’s fire. The project features a bit of everything, classic hip hop, singing, lyrics, and a little bit weirdness manifested within the tracks. Check out Days of Future past below, and let us know what you think.
2014 has been a pretty good year for Little Dragon. Not only did the Swedish band release their highly anticipated album Nabuma Rubberband, but their music has been showing up everywhere lately. Their single Klapp Klapp even made an appearance on a commercial for the College Football Playoffs. Recently, Little Dragon released their official set of visuals for another song off of Nabuma Rubberband called “Underbart”. Check the video out below, and give Little Dragon a listen if you are looking for new alternative.
Friday evening (Nov. 7), Theophilus London, commanded the stage on the Late Show With David Letterman. Teaming up with, Jesse Boykins III, “Tribe” was delivered to a receptive audience.
London’s latest project, Vibes, released on November 4, boasts Kanye West as its executive producer.
VH1 confirms that, Yung Berg, has been terminated from Love & Hip-Hop L.A. An alleged violent confrontation left his girlfriend, Masika Tucker, battered and bruised in a New York City hotel. This situation precipitated swift action from VH1.
VH1 perceives this serious business as follows:
“Based on the severity of the allegations against Yung Berg, VH1 is terminating its relationship with him in connection with Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, effective immediately.
Yung Berg was arrested on November 5th and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing in connection with an assault on fellow cast member Masika Tucker.
The arrest took place in a New York hotel several hours after the taping of the reunion special for Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood had wrapped.”
The music industry is such a difficult industry not just to get in, but to also maintain you as a person while being a successful musician. We may think that music’s biggest stars are completely happy in the global spotlight, but what we think is completely different from what their world. Recently, Kendrick Lamar spoke to Houston radio 93.7’s personality Devi Dev, and even opened up to her about his battle with depression.
“I’ve faced it [depression] in my life not only then, but now. In these recent years of being in the limelight and trying to deal with and balance your personal life with the music and what you do. It comes with a lot of turmoil when you’re talking about money, fame, fortune and success, a lot of things you have to handle and balance and that brings a whole lotta depression.”
Kendrick hasn’t been the first hip hop superstar to battle depression. Recently, Andre 3000 spoke about his battle with depression during the reunion tour. J. Cole was another victim to face depression before his successful sophomore project Born Sinner dropped in 2013. The correlation between depression and the music industry is way too common, and it only makes Kendrick’s new song “i” far more critical than any other song on the Billboard, especially as a black man.

If you really thought Jaden Smith’s streak of music drops would stop, you’re terribly wrong. Earlier, the 16 year-old rapper released a new EP full of fire. The EP Prakruti was released in honor of Kendall Jenner’s 19th Birthday. Yes, this EP is dedicated to Jaden’s love for a 19-year old model who just got spanked by a stripper, but you can’t knock Jaden’s skills on the mic. Check out Pakruti below, and tell us what you think.
