The reviews of the HBO On The Run Tour special were great, but the number of viewers were not so hot.
The special, which aired on September 23rd, brought in less than one million viewers, around 880,000 to be exact, according to TV by the Numbers.
The special was beat out by reruns of the Big Bang Theory, which brought in 2,790,000 viewers, which also means the couple’s special also fell short of making the top 20 cable shows for the evening…
Was there just too much hype surrounding the special? Our we tired of hip-hop’s favorite couple?

Do You Prefer To Participate In A Debatable Battle Or A Clear Victory?
When I’m in the moment I definitely prefer a decisive victory, but once the footage is getting ready to drop, I ultimately hope for a more debatable battle, because it adds to the replay value and also sparks interesting debate.
Where Do You See Battle Rap Going In The Future?
Sky’s the limit. The attention and hype battling gets now, added with the support from established artists, is just going to create bigger and better things for everyone involved. I’m just happy to be a part of it.

Skillz is back using his old name, Mad Skillz. He’s back and working on a new joint project with producer BINK!. Check out the first offering “Light Work” from the upcoming project.
(AllHipHop News) Wale had a lot happen in his career over the last several months. He had an unfortunate public riff with fellow Maybach Music Group member Meek Mill, he left Jay Z’s Roc Nation for new management, and he began prepping the upcoming release of his The Album About Nothing. The “LoveHate Thing” emcee visited The Breakfast Club to discuss those topics and more.

It was announced in August that Wale parted ways with the Roc to join LeBron James at 77 North Management. According to the DMV native, the split with Jay was difficult, but amicable.
“It was [hard leaving Roc Nation]. I was with them when it was S. Dot Enterprises,” said Wale. “To me, personally they’re going in another direction. There’s sports.”
While 77 covers the branding, Wale is focusing on the music. He reveals his fourth studio album will be a throwback to his popular mixtapes.
“I’m kinda letting my core fans A&R the project. I’m zeroing in on things that made them grow to love me early in my career like when I was doing The Mixtape About Nothing and More About Nothing,” Wale explained. “I’m trying to focus on those things sonically, and I’m not running away from those things no more.”
Of course, the situation between he and Meek was brought up. Wale recalled the moment when he first found out that Meek blasted him on Twitter.
“I was hung over. I was in Vegas the night before. I overslept. I crawled to my plane,” Wale stated. “I get to my hotel. I watch Monday Night Raw, and I went to sleep. Woke up and I thought it was somebody ‘trolling,’ somebody with a fake retweet. I was just looking at the joint like, ‘Damn shawty, wassup?’ Then I saw the, ‘don’t even text me’ joint. I was like, ‘alright, well okay.”

Wale added he still has love for Meek, but he admits he has not been able to call or visit the Philadelphia rapper since he has been incarcerated.
Charlamagne also asked Wale if he was bothered by the fact his records don’t get the same amount of media attention as some of his peers like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole. Wale said it does.
“Maybe it’s [my fault]. Kendrick dropped that joint yesterday and [people were saying] ‘Nobody makes feel good rap’. What? You’re gonna tell me I didn’t make ‘Sunshine’? That’s a damn good record,” expressed Wale. “[People] say ‘Nobody has content’… ‘Black Heroes’… That s**t hurt me though, cause I’m like, ‘Damn dog, the s**t I’m saying on that record. That s**t hurt. Why the f**k is it falling short? What am I doing?”
Wale then requested the public not define him off songs like “Clappers” but rather songs like “Black Heroes,” “Gullible,” and “The Curse Of The Gifted.” Tracks he says encourages people to embrace their gifts and follow their ambition. He also questions if he struggles to connect with listeners because he has dark skin as compared to Drake and Cole who have light skin.

(AllHipHop News) With the announcement of Amber Rose’s divorce from rapper Wiz Khalifa, rumors began circulating that Rose’s new manager Nick Cannon (who is also involved in a reported split from wife Mariah Carey) may have played a part in the Khalifa household breaking up.

According to TMZ, Cannon has now apparently come out and stated he was not involved in Amber’s choice to break things off with Wiz. The site reports:
Nick claims he only learned about Amber’s domestic problems through her lawyers last week when he signed her on as a client. That’s when Nick says he found out her marriage was on the rocks and only then did the two share break-up stories.
Rose and Cannon began a business partnership in the last few weeks. Amber has stated that she is already connected to television and book deals thanks to Nick’s management. The model/actress has also denied rumors she cheated on Wiz.

Clifford “T.I.” Harris was in Jackson, Mississippi on Wednesday to speak with local students about making good choices in order to avoid mistakes like the ones he committed in his life. While in Jackson, T.I. was given the “key to the city” by Mayor Tony Yarber.
Yaber acknowledged T.I.’s ability to impact the youth’s direction away from criminal activity. The Atlanta-based emcee has had several run-ins with the law including a 2009 conviction for federal gun charges, but Tip’s message to the young people centered around telling them not to follow his previous bad decisions.
T.I. is scheduled to release his 9th studio album Paperwork on October 21.

Food Bank For New York City held a nutrition education summit for teens in Harlem on Tuesday, September 23. Celebrity guests TV host Keke Palmer and Brooklyn Nets All-Star center Brook Lopez were on hand for the occasion.
The event was in support of Food Bank For New York City’s Change One Thing initiative, a social campaign that aims to guide teens toward healthier choices by changing just one thing in their diet at a time.
During the event, Palmer, Lopez, and celebrity chef Max Hardy shared their healthy eating tips to about 25 students from Opportunity Charter School. The kids also made a pledge to commit to live healthier by making one healthy choice at a time.
“Through the Change One Thing initiative, Food Bank For New York City is able to successfully communicate with New York City students about the importance of healthy eating and the impact of positive choices in dietary selections,” said Margarette Purvis, President and CEO of Food Bank for New York City. “With the support of high-profile celebrities such as Keke Palmer and Brook Lopez, students can better relate to the message and understand that good nutrition is truly a lifelong goal.”

Looks like this groupie encounter may be coming back to haunt Chris Brown…
MediaTakeout is reporting that a woman is claiming Breezy fathered her child.
“Well Chris Brown might be a FATHER . . . at least if you believe a popular Atlanta Dancer named REIGN. MediaTakeOut.com learned that a 32 woman who used to DANCE at the popular club DOA is claiming to be Chris Brown’s babys mother.
We’re told that the woman – who danced under the name “Reign” while at the club – just filed PAPERWORK in Fulton County Court against Breezy. She’s claiming to have fathered her 3 year old daughter. BLOOP!!”
Let’s wait and see how this one ends…
I thought these two could possibly make it, but after a year, Amber Rose has filed for divorce from Wiz.
She is citing irreconcilable differences, but friends of Wiz say Rose was creeping with several different fellas throughout the course of their short marriage.
MediaTakeout reports:
“The list of men who Wiz suspects were SMASHING HIS WIFE include FAMOUS ACTOR Jamie Foxx, Nick Cannon, and a popular Los Angeles model photographer. But not every person that Wiz suspects was SMASHING HIS WIFE is famous.
MediaTakeOut.com EXCLUSIVELY reports that Wiz suspects that Amber and her assistant/chaueffer carried on an elicit affair. You remember the guy . . . he’s the one who we said coincidentally looked like Amber’s son Sabastian.”
I must say, it is a coincidence that Nick Cannon is now “managing” Rose and they’re both in the middle of divorces. Makes you wonder…
Holly “Lil Bear” Lawson has had a hell of a career. The one-time Top 5 boxer simply wasn’t able to get traction in mainstream boxing, which seems particular hostile to women. On the other hand, MMA has fully embraced women and stars have emerged out of the sport. Now, Bellator is putting its might into the ladies and Lil Bear is now a pioneer in the fight league under the reign of Scott Coker. Check out the latest with the fighter that is finally getting that well-deserved shot at the top.
Knockout Nation: Tell me about the new situation?
Holly “Lil Bear” Lawson: Bellator signed me to their featherweight division. I’m the 5th woman they’ve signed, the only one with no [MMA] fight experience. I’m super excited to be fighting for Bellator, especially under Scott Coker, he did a great job with Strikeforce and has a proven history with building fighters, particularly women. He was the first major MMA promoter to see the value in female fighters and their audiences.
You came from boxing so you are not exactly new to this. What made you switch and how hard has the transition been?
I love boxing and my life’s goal had always been to become a world champion. Unfortunately the boxing world – American promoters particularly – don’t see women as marketable and not only are we paid a fraction of what men make, we have to deal with the “major” promoters basically having blackballed women from fighting on their cards. I trained for years with MMA fighters at Wildcard and they were always trying to “convert” me. I finally thought, “What the hell I might as well go see if I like it, if I have the capacity to learn and if it’s something I am interested in.” Fortunately I was introduced to Antonio McKee and his team at The Bodyshop and they took me under their wing and have been fundamental in me growing into the fighter I’d like to become. MMA grows on me every day! I never thought I’d enjoy grappling as much as I do. It helps to be surrounded by world champions, men who I respect as people not just as fighters
Do you catch flack from people in the game that feel you are just riding the MMA wave?
A little…. But MMA is so much more accepting of female fighters and our space in that world. Generally everyone has been really excited about me entering the sport. I’ve made it a point to try and be low key about it. I learned on boxing not to count my chickens before they hatch so I’ve waited until now that I have a fight lined up until I wanted to come out and tell everyone what I’m doing.
What advantages will your boxing background have for you? Is there a downside?
I’m not going into the sport thinking I have any advantages, I feel like that’s an easy way to get caught up in overconfidence, but I do know that my grappling is what I work on daily. You can never know everything, just like boxing – it’s a constant evolution.
You have a fight coming up. Tell me about it.
I’m fighting in Iowa Oct 17, I literally just found out about it less than 48 hours ago so I’m still getting all the information, but so far the date and the opponent have been confirmed.
Who are you fighting?
Jozette Cotton. I’m fighting on Friday, October 17th from the Mid-American Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Sorry, Bellator guy just sent me that. (Laughs) I’m the first female fight to be happening for Bellator under Scott Coker! Which is huge.
Final words?
I’m humbled and honored to be fighting for what I consider to be the best mma promotion on the planet and I’m looking forward to bringing something different to the women’s MMA world.

The Massacre‘s “God Gave Me Style” was one 50 song his grandmother found special. The G-Unit leader spoke with Revolt about that particular track.

When I make the song, I go to my grandma and I play the record for her. And she’s like, ‘Wow you got one for me’.”
While 50’s nana was a fan of “God Gave Me Style” she told her grandson not to move to far away from the sound that made him a music superstar.

(AllHipHop News) The adult website Pornhub is extending its reach in entertainment to include a new record label. According to Billboard, Pornhub Records was launched this week.
“We’ve always seen a strong music presence from the beginning of Pornhub,” said the company’s head of PR and marketing Matt Blake. “Artists upload their own stuff, like uncensored tracks and R-rated versions of songs. Some people come in and upload exclusive videos, so it creates a buzz for them.”
The company is also running a Song Search Contest to find an official anthem. The grand prize winner receives $5000 to shoot a music video to be featured on Pornhub TV, but the winner does not automatically get signed to the label.
“We’re looking for acts that aren’t necessarily p###-focused,”said Pornhub VP Corey Price. “We’re an ad-based network looking for content that appeals to our demographic. Mature lyrics for an adult audience; no boy bands or teen-pop, for instance.”
Even though there had been speculation that Coolio was signing to Pornhub Records, the “Gangsta’s Paradise” rapper denied he was officially joining the brand. He did film the NSFW “Take It To The Hub” promo video for the site.
