First Snippet Of Secret Wu-Tang Clan Album Is Revealed, Includes Unheard Ghostface Verse [AUDIO]

(AllHipHop News) The Wu-Tang Clan double disc album Once Upon A Time In Shaolin may never be heard by anyone other than its producer, Tarik “Cilvaringz” Azzougarh. However, today (May 6th), Forbes has revealed the first snippet of the Wu-Tang Clan’s secret album in their interview with Cilvaringz.

The album was produced by CIvilringz in Marrakesh, Morocco and sent periodically to RZA for “review.” However, once the beats were chosen, the involvement of RZA and the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan became minimal and even they were kept in the dark:

They had beats that had similar sound, but wasn’t the actual beat. They had the same BPMs, same speed and everything. But, they would rap on something that would sound [different] much later. Because, I couldn’t afford to have it leak. They were never given the final copies, including RZA.

RZA has attested that the project has already garnered bids of $5 million. Cilvaringz corroborates that, however he states that the legitimacy of those offers are still under question:

Anyone can send an email saying, ‘I got $55 million. I got one like that before. But it’s like, ‘Yeah, right.’ Somebody sent from a Mark Zuckerberg email [account] yesterday, at Gmail, ‘I got $10 million, please don’t tell the press that I’ve contacted you.’ You get emails like that. That’s why you need a broker in between, someone that people who are interested in buying this thing will feel comfortable dealing with.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Jay Electronica IS Coming Back!

You know, I like this guy. He’s so mysterious. But, I am getting some clarity on where he stands in the game after taking some years in musical hiatus. Yep. Sources say Jay-E has been kicking it heavily around the Roc Nation offices plotting and planning for his big return to music. Nobody knows exactly the date, but I am hearing the fall, of 2014 is the time so he can move into the 4th quarter smoothly. Incidentally, that is also the time that Kendrick is rumored to be coming out with this second major label release. So, maybe that some stuff to hang on to, but I doubt it. At any rate…yeah….

We’ll see.

Here are some pics…

Monica Lewinsky Corrects Beyonce's Lyric, Talks Bill Clinton Taking Advantage Of Her + More

(AllHipHop News) The woman who has become synonymous with 1. infidelity and 2. oral sex is finally emerging from hiding after over 10 years. In a recent Vanity Fair issue, Bill Clinton’s former mistress corrects a popular Beyonce lyric, discusses how Bill Clinton took advantage of her back in 1998 and more.

Last December, Beyonce shocked the world with more than simply a surprise album, Beyonce but her most sexually charged lyrics of her 15 years career. Ironically, incident with Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky from 15 years ago was referenced in her song “Patrition” where Beyonce remarks “He popped all my buttons, and he ripped my blouse/He Monica Lewinsky-ed all on my gown” According to Lewinsky, that is fundamentally wrong:

Thanks, Beyoncé, but if we’re verbing, I think you meant ‘Bill Clinton’d all on my gown,’ not ‘Monica Lewinsky’d,’

Lewinsky claims “the shame, the scorn, and the fear” associated with the reveal of her affair with the then President of the United States nearly led her to suicide. Lewinsky admits that the relationship was consensual, but also states that Clinton did abuse her in other manners:

Sure, my boss took advantage of me, but I will always remain firm on this point: it was a consensual relationship. Any ‘abuse’ came in the aftermath, when I was made a scapegoat in order to protect his powerful position.

The Vanity Fair issue will be available digitally on May 8th.

EXCLUSIVE: Scarface Talks Donald Sterling Trying To Look Black, Not Needing To Apologize + MORE (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) The Los Angeles Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling’s racist comments are well documented, however Scarface believes Sterling’s problems with Black people are deeper rooted than one first realizes. In an EXCLUSIVE interview with AllHipHop’s Chuck Creekmur, Scarface discusses the Donald Sterling controversy from a variety of angles.

Scarface believes Donald Sterling does not have to apologize for his private comments as he believes Sterling’s mentality is not isolated to simply Sterling. Scarface provided a poignant analysis of Sterling’s paradoxical relationship with the Black community and how it shows in Sterling’s appearance:

For a motherf*cker that hate you so much, they sure want to look like you. This motherfu*ker he got this brown a*s hair where he dye his sh*t so much ’till his sh*t is f*cked up now. He tried to tan so f##*en much his face is falling off his f*cken skull. He’s just a big ol’, baggy a*s, rich ol’ bastard who don’t want no Black people at his game.

Sterling’s mistress, V. Stiviano spoke with Barbra Walters last Friday (May 2nd) for ABC News. In the interview, the 31 year old Stiviano attests that she was and still is in love with Sterling. While Scarface confuses Stiviano’s age, he expresses the hilarity in the idea of someone over 45 years younger than their partner being in love with them”

Wait, you’re in love with your daughter’s granddaughter-type sh*t. Dude you f*cken 80 years old. How can you be in love with…Looking back, that’s not even a child to him. That’s an infant. 40 is a child to him. 20 is an infant.

Mitch Littlez: The Kite Featuring Triple Seis

Mitch Littlez’s recent offering “The Kite” features Triple Seis of Terror Squad fame. The track is a reference to a “kite” or letter that is sent to deliver messages between prisoners.

The song is a letter to all those people who aren’t coming home due to incarceration, ended relationships, or death. It speaks to the  people by explaining that everything will be alright and that these two emcees (Littlez and Seis) will never forget the foundation laid for them nor the impression that the ones who will not be returning had.

Saigon Questions Nicki Minaj's Marketing Strategy; Comments On Jay Electronica As A "Conscious Rapper"

(AllHipHop News) Rapper and former reality show star Saigon had a lot to say about the way Nicki Minaj is presented as an artist. Speaking with VladTV, the New Yorker questions the decision to market the Young Money rapper as a “Barbie” to young girls despite her use of explicit lyrics.

[ALSO READ: Saigon On “Love & Hip Hop”: Your Agenda Is To Make Me Look Crazy]

“I don’t blame an artist like Nicki Minaj but it just confuses me why a lot of her lyrics are x-rated,” said Saigon. “I got a five-year old daughter who loves Barbie. Then they use Barbie to market Nicki Minaj and Nicki Minaj is… not to bash, I don’t even want to finish that because it looks like I’m bashing.”

He continued, “But I’m, not going to start blaming artists when I know it ain’t the artists. It’s really the marketing person. It’s the person that’s gonna pump $2 million into putting you out there. That’s the real problem.”

Saigon also spoke on whether he felt Roc Nation’s Jay Electronica was the next “big conscious rapper.”

“I didn’t hear enough of Jay Electronica to put him in that category. I know he wasn’t ignorant, but I don’t know where Jay Electronica was gonna go because I don’t think he put out enough music,” adds Saigon. “He had a huge buzz. Then his buzz got deterred somehow by a rich woman with a lot of money who supposedly took him off his path… It was like everybody was anticipating him and then the next thing we know he’s dealing with a rich white woman and then we never hear from him again.”

Saigon goes on to say that Jay E is “smart” and “a gifted artist.”

New Orleans Residents Upset With Lil Wayne For Not Completing Community Skatepark

(AllHipHop New) Lil Wayne has regularly professed his love of skating, and the Young Money boss planned to share that love with residents of New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward by building a skatepark in the community. The “Trukstop Skatepark” was announced as part of Wayne and Mountain Dew’s “DEWeezy” marketing campaign in association with the Glu Agency.

A grand opening for the park was held at the Lower 9th Ward Village community center in 2012, but children have barely been able to use the park since.

That same year the Glu Agency signed a leasing agreement that included paying the center’s current mortgage in full and covering all maintenance and repair. It did not include coverage of electric, plumbing, heating or cooling systems. According to Nola.com, the Lower 9th Ward Village is now facing financial difficulties and may have to close.

Outside of using the park for his own recreation, Lil Wayne reportedly removed himself from involvement with the park’s construction and management. The loss of his endorsement deal with Mountain Dew over controversial lyrics on Future’s “Karate Chop (Remix)” complicated the situation.

“It was my intention, through my relationship with brand partners, to provide the good people of New Orleans with a skatepark,” said Wayne in a statement. “Unfortunately, the deal did not work out, and due to issues beyond my control, I am no longer involved with the skatepark. Helping New Orleans has always been important to me. My team and I are looking into other initiatives for the future.”

Mismanagement, not enough proper staffing, a lack of legal knowledge, and other issues are attributed to Lower 9th Ward Village’s troubles as well. Some of which founder Ward “Mack” McClendon claims were the result of the initial efforts put into the skatepark. The connection to Wayne and Mountain Dew unexpectedly dried up donations to the center says McClendon.

“People stopped giving money because they thought Lil Wayne owned the place,” McClendon claims.

While Wayne has stated he would like to help in different areas, some New Orleans residents would like to see him help with the skatepark he promised the community. PepsiCo (Mountain Dew’s parent company) is also being asked why it has not stepped in to complete the project.

Nola.com readers addressed the situation:

Mountain Dew dropped Wayne for his statements about Emmett Till. So be it. That’s no excuse for Wayne to not see a project that was allegedly so important to him to it’s full fruition. It’s as if he put his name on the project for publicity and funding and then just wanted to be able to come here and skate. – TwillDog

(Lil Wayne) if you really cared about this city you’d put your money where your mouth is. The kids need places to expend their energy. Why not invest a couple hunnid thou to help the cause. -Got2bReal

Surely PepsiCo who owns Mountain Dew can take over this project and bring it to completion. Take Little Wayne’s name off of it and [wipe] your hands clean of the Glu Agency and invest back into this project you helped start. – louisianabanker

Some readers did suggest crime activity in the area has affected business investment and perhaps the space may be better for commercial use. Other residents point out the center provides a positive environment for young people that may otherwise not have an outlet to avoid the problems in their neighborhood.

McClendon is attempting to raise $160,000 to avoid foreclosure on the Lower 9th Ward Village community center.
