Audio Push Says T.I. "Sh*tted On Us" Before We Collaborated (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) In the music industry, you have to earn your stripes before you are allowed such privileges. While appearing on Cipha Sounds’ Take It Personal Hip Hop improv show last Friday (December 20th), the west coast duo Audio Push spoke on how the privilege of collaborating with a legendary rapper almost escaped them.

On their 2013 mixtape Come As You Are, Audio Push collaborated with T.I. on the Hit-Boy produced song “Theme Song”. According to the duo, T.I. “sh*tted” on their request to collaborate at first until he heard the beat and proceeded to freestyle his verse on the song. The UCB improvisers took T.I.’s lack of writing and demonstrated what would happen if he applied that to other real life situations.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Kenya Moore is Looking For Sperm

When viewers first started watching Kenya Moore on Real Housewives of Atlanta, she presented herself as a marriage and baby hungry maniac. That plan didn’t work out so well so, she seemingly ditched her dreams of marital bliss with then alleged boyfriend Walter and went on to terrorize the rest of the cast with her wacky behavior.

Fastforward to today, she’s back on the show and still not mentioning her dreams of having a family but word is, she’s hasn’t given up hope. She can’t control the husband factor (assuming there’s no good bribe involved) but she is planning to get artificially insemenated. She recently told Life & Style that she plans to do in vitro with the hopes of getting pregnant within the next six months. Of course, if this works out she’ll have her baby just in time to be filmed for the next season of RHOA.

It has been eight years since Lil Kim released her last studio album The Naked Truth, but Kim says she is not rushing the process to drop her next LP. Kim is holding off announcing when the album will be released, but she ensures that the public can expect to hear some singles from her by summer 2014.

In the meantime Kim’s fans are still waiting for her forthcoming mixtape Hardcore 2K13. The Brooklyn rhymer was scheduled to drop the project on Halloween, but it was pushed back indefinitely. She did release the tracks “Dead Gal Walking” and “I Am Kimmy Blanco” as well as a tracklist over the last several months.

“I just think that my fans — not even just my fans, but even potentially new fans — are ready to hear some new Lil Kim music,” added the rapper. “People are ready to hear real rap, real s**t coming from a female. Because I’ve always been different, no matter what. My music has always been very sexual and very pro-women.”

Google Penalizes Rap Genius For Link Schemes

(AllHipHop News) After the lyric website Rap Genius was accused of uses link schemes to get unnatural hits, Google has apparently penalized the site. A link to “rapgenius.com” is no longer available on the first page for a Google search of “rap genius.”

Rap Genius was recently exposed as using an “affiliate program” to garnered traffic to the site. The “growth hacking” plan offered bloggers a tweet mentioning their post in exchange for back links to Rap Genius. This would help Rap Genius increase their Google search engine ranking position which is a violation of Google’s linking policy.

The founders of Rap Genius did issue a statement on the matter. Writing in part:

We’re going to be requesting that site owners take down links to Rap Genius that don’t fit well with their editorial content. Going forward, we do believe a track list widget that bloggers can embed has value, but we’ll develop one in JS rather than HTML.

Rap Genius is the product of many passionate communities collaborating to create a massive, living knowledge base for the world to enjoy. We do not want to break Google’s rules, and will do whatever it takes to learn them inside out and comply with them. Thank you very much!

Earlier this year Rap Genius was sent a take down notice by the National Music Publishers Association for publishing licensed lyrics without permission. RG later announced a licensing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing allowing them to keep up lyrics from Sony/ATV artists.

“I tell my n***as, we real n***as living in a fake world,” Gotti shared with The Dope Academy’s DJ Quinn Raynor and DJ El Plaga. “You may have two n***as who suppose to be on some street s**t. You do something to me, and I do something back. Then you may press charges on me. That ain’t keeping it ‘G’.”

Yo Gotti also addresses rappers who use “fake beef” for publicity. For him, that’s not a tactic he participates in even though he has been involved in public spats. Gotti was one of the artists Gucci Mane mentioned in his infamous Twitter rant earlier this year. The two southern rappers also had issues over their mixtapes being released around the same time.

Gotti released his sixth studio album I Am last month. The Dope Academy Q&A session eventually led to some of the things the 32-year-old claims he is not.

“I ain’t no sucka. I ain’t no fraud. I damn sure ain’t broke. I ain’t no clown like a lot of these n***as. Money can’t make me move, so I ain’t gonna do sh*t for money,” said Gotti.

“My goal was not picking a number one single. My goal was putting together a body of work,” said Bey. “I just wanted to know if people cared about music, because honestly I was at a point where I felt like everything feels the same… If I could not challenge that, then maybe it was time for me to do something else.”

Director Spike Jonze Gives Details About Unproduced Beastie Boys Movie

(AllHipHop News) Oscar-nominated director Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Where the Wild Things Are) was the man at the helm for the Beasties Boys’ classic 1994 music video “Sabotage.” Jonze, Michael “Mike D” Diamond, Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz, and Adam “MCA” Yauch had also begun working a feature film together at one point. The movie, titled We Can Do This, never panned out, but the 44-year-old Maryland native recently gave some details about the unfinished Beastie Boys project.

“It was so surreal and out there and [Yauch’s filmmaker alter-ego] Nathanial Hornblower was a character as the director,” Jonze told Indiewire.com. “One of the characters from ‘Sabotage,’ Sir Stuart Wallace, was a character. Both played by Yauch and it just would’ve been ridiculous and fun.”

The script for the movie was written by Jonze and the three Beasties. Each member was also to play multiple roles in the picture.

“Mike played a Country star – those [country] songs we wrote for the movie actually. Adam Horowitz played this kid, Nino Vincenzi, who lived on Roosevelt Island with his dad who was a mechanic and was a little bit a John Travolta Saturday Night Fever type of kid,” Jonze revealed. “I forget all the different characters but… it would have been funny to see them on-screen.”

Spike Jonze next picture Her is set for nationwide release on January 10th. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, and Scarlett Johansson.
