J. Cole is rapidly emerging as one of the enduring talents that hip-hop has to offer. His latest: Born Sinner. On his sophomore release, we find Cole World in his ever expanding lane. Straight up, Born Sinner is a hip-hop album that has the potential to enter the popular side of life. Clearly, the North Carolina native isn’t gunning for every Becky and Brad to fall in love with his music, but if they want to come, its all the better. Once again, this is a hip-hop album.
Songs like “Power Trip (with Miguel),” “She Knows,” and “Forbidden Fruit (with Kendrick Lamar)” delve into the complexities of a young man’s relationships. Cole sounds like a natural with his song writing, something that often escaped the rappers he came up on. They were prone to braggadocios raps. Still, Cole – like Kendrick – has an inter-generational quality that often escapes most rappers out now.
Born Sinner is very, very good and could emerge as a classic album, as time rolls on. J. Cole oversaw the production on the album and he takes care of himself. He manages to diversify beats and present songs as intricate tales. Songs like “Miss America” and “N***az Know” break the mold with a more abrasive texture than the rest of Born Sinner. Even 50 Cent pops up on the deluxe version of the album.
“Let Nas Down,” is one moment on Born Sinner that this writer didn’t particularly like (but admits most people do). Cole acts as if Nas is his pops or something! But, the song is dope, albeit a bit too respectful for a future legend purporting to have a sinner side. So, the song is cool, yet a bit disappointing. Such is the duality of Born Sinner. Cole’s idolatry is evident throughout.
The only drawback seems that Cole at times comes off as if he’s trying to be a bad boy, unlike Chief Keef who really seems to be the genuine article. So, he feels like good guy that got caught up here and there and wrote songs about it. But, this is a granular observation. Born Sinner is a road map for a generation. Cole offers the meaty content people scream they want on the radio and in their iPods. He also offers a measure of maturity that does resemble his heroes like Nas, even though some of it feels like he’s a student trying to be the master yet. At 21 tracks (including interludes), Born Sinner should offer enough music to last fans for quite some time. No sins here – just another era in hip-hop being born again.

Last night, I just didn’t have the energy to write about this. But, there was a rumor that Luda got his ass beat and busted in the head with a bottle at a club.
Well Luda did a lot of stuff on the internet to show that he did not get bed down. I’m glad he didn’t because he’s clearly not about that rowdy life anymore.
The video is below.
And here is the vid of him clowning. With is girl:
And his Bentley.
And a big booty.
Glad Luda is good. Now, put out a damn album we can love!! The time is now!

“We are living in a world now where the old order of things, large companies, mainstream media, are all falling apart. We don’t really know what’s going to emerge out of this recession, and in that kind of environment, entrepreneurs are the ones that are going to be able to thrive…I think people nowadays have to let go of their old habits and wake up, it’s a new world. More and more you have to be like a hustler and think of yourself and your own future.” Robert Greene, Author: The 48 Laws of Power– as told to AllHipHop.com (2009)
With the release of Thug Motivation: 103, last year, Young Jeezy had officially evolved from the slightly-chubby dope boy we met in 2004, into a grown a** man. A new fitness regimen has slimmed him down, age has made him quite handsome, and mainstream songs like “I Do,” and “Leave You Alone” have solidified a loyal female fan base. And just like that, the dope boy is suddenly a heartthrob. And the street economist is suddenly… well, no, that didn’t change much. With a fifth studio album coming this fall, he proves he still has (hustler) ambition and a keen eye for power moves.
Young Jeezy has recently entered into two very unique partnerships. He’s aligned himself and CTE with Avion Tequila, a boutique spirits company voted the “World’s Best Tasting Tequila,” at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition—the highest honor in the spirits industry. The deal with Avion came on the heels of a grand opening/grand closing short-lived agreement as a Ciroc Boy, announced last September and done by the year’s end.
His newest partnership is with Gourmet Footwear, an LA-based sportswear and footwear company. With Gourmet, as with Avion, Jeezy has chosen to forego conventional endorsements with big companies for strategic partnerships with smaller niche brands.“The relationship with Gourmet isn’t an endorsement, it’s a partnership,” Young Jeezy emphasized during the launch at the popular Atlanta boutique, Wish. “I wanted to collaborate with a boutique brand and Gourmet has a style and vibe that just meshes with mine – part street, part sophistication. It’ll be cool to start getting involved with the creative process for new collections.”
Gourmet Footwear was founded in 2005 by Greg Lucci, Greg Johnsen, and Jon Buscemi. Fashion industry experts, the founders of the company have developed casual and athletic footwear for men and women made of luxurious fabrics, air-light soles, and high-fashion styling. The shoes also have great prices with most pairs around $110. And the brand is rapidly expanding. In their first season, in 2006, they made 1000 pairs, their second season–15,000, and so on. “Gourmet sells to the kid who knows to wear something that costs $10, and something that costs $1,000 together. The kid who realizes that style and fashion aren’t the same,” says Greg Lucci, in explaining an ideal Gourmet customer, “Not the kid who goes into the Dior store and buys everything Dior and wears it all together. That’s not our guy. Our guy can wear a $10 pair of trackpants, a pair of our shoes, and a $60,000 watch.”
It seems like the relationship between Gourmet and Young Jeezy will prove to be a remix of the relationship between the music industry and fashion icons, “Part of what we’re trying to do is document how the fashion industry, and the music industry and even the art industry work together,” Lucci says, “They were all started by a bunch of countercultures who weren’t ‘cool,’ we all started as weirdo countercultures that hung out together.”
More on Gourmet Footwear, including where to find them, is available on their website GourmetFootwear.com and join the partnership online by following Young Jeezy on Instagram @YoungJeezy. Check the video for our exclusive interview with Young Jeezy and Greg Lucci.

Damn! I thought RiRi was going to win this one, but it looks like there are some f**ks given! You know she is the queen of no f**ks given.

However! There is a crazed rumor that Rihanna is looking to get her butt in some form of counseling to help her get over Chris Brown. Some site called Grazia Daily is making these claims so take it for what its worth.
The 25-year-old pop star is likely to begin the 12-step programme – which follows the same format as alcohol and drug rehabilitation – during her upcoming six-week break from her ‘Diamonds World Tour’ at The Ranch clinic in Tennessee.
”Rihanna is still desperately in love with Chris. It’s like she’s obsessed with him and, although he’s told her it’s over, she just can’t get over him.
”After talking it through with a psychotherapist, Rihanna is now considering doing a 12-step programme to get rid of her demons.”
The Ranch’s ‘Women’s Love and Sex Addiction Treatment Programme’ helps women with issues with ”attracting troubled, addicted, abusive or otherwise emotionally unavailable partners” using treatments as varied as counselling and equine therapy.

(AllHipHop News) Lil Wayne caused a stir when images surfaced of Lil Wayne stepping on the America flag at a recent video shoot for his song “God Bless Amerika”
The Young Money CEO took to social media to do some much needed damage control and attests that he was not stomping on the American flag but instead participating in a camera trick:
It was never my intention to desecrate the flag of the United States of America. I was shooting a video for a song off my album entitled “God Bless Amerika”. The clip that surfaced on the Internet was a camera trick clip that revealed that behind the American Flag was the Hoods of America. In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal what is behind it but will never see it on the ground.
While Wayne admits to not disrespecting the American flag he also elucidates on the deeper social context of the scene in which the controversial flag stomping incident occurred:
In most people eyes including my own who were raised in that environment, the Hood is the only America they know and the only America I knew growing up. I was fortunate from my God giving talents to escape the Hood and see the other beautiful places this country has to offer but most people who are born in that environment don’t get that chance. That’s their view of their America. That was Dwayne M Carter from Hollygrove New Orleans view of America. That’s who I’m speaking for in this song.
