Funny. I was just listening to old Eminem last night. I’m talking about when he would still pop up on a mixtape or two. Dude is ill. And the last time we heard him was on a 50 Cent joint, but the next time will likely be another solo album. According to recent chatter, Eminem is going to drop another gem on us July 2nd, 2013 – just in time for July 4th! Local Michigan Channel 95.5 made the bold statement so we have to now see what happens next. Em would need to come out with some real crazy stuff in this era. Heck, freaking Justin Beiber is getting busted for weed and Chris Brown and Drake are the biggest thugs. I think he can do it.
Oh, word on the street is that Dr. Dre is motivated again.

Bone Thugs Layzie Bone May Be Proclaimed Father Of Baby That May Not Be His
(AllHipHop Rumors) Layzie Bone runs the risk of being proclaimed the father of a child he didn’t father, according to a new report by TMZ.
A woman claims the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony rapper is the biological father of her one and a half year old kid and is looking for child support. The woman, who is not Layzie’s wife, first filed for support in October of 2012.
Layzie has yet to respond to the allegations in any form and that is where his issues stem from.
A court can now declare him the father of the child by default and without a paternity test. Furthermore, the court may apply interest charges on unpaid child support payments

Please Dont Kill My Vibe: Vibe Magazine Sold, Print Version Likely To Discontinue
(AllHipHop News) The internet has revolutionized human interaction, helped reveal a universal love of cat videos but most dauntingly has begun replacing print media. Today is another landmark day in this current cultural shift as Hip Hop/R&B landmark magazine, Vibe Magazine has been sold to media group SpinMedia.
The rights to the 21 year old magazine’s print outlet, Vibe.com and Vibevixen.com were sold to SpinMedia by Vibe Media. SpinMedia’s chief executive Steve Hansen expressed his zeal over the acquisition and promised to foster Vibe Magazine’s online presence:
“It’s really exciting to add this to SpinMedia’s collection of music properties and bring more digital DNA to the team and see what they can do.”
SpinMedia acquiring Vibe Magazine and its concomitant websites could mean the end for the legendary print source if history repeats itself. SpinMedia purchased Spin Magazine in the summer of 2012 shut down its print publication and laid off a third of the staff. “We are still trying to find a print model that makes economic sense in the digital age,” according to Hansen.
Founded in 1992 by Quincy Jones and Time Warner, Vibe Magazine was abruptly shut down due to the depletion of ad revenue but was brought back months later by private equity investors.

2 Chainz Found Not Guilty Of Drug Charges

Tauheed Epps is a happy man. The Atlanta native better known as 2 Chainz was acquitted Wednesday of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia stemming from a February 14th incident.
On Valentine’s Day, 2 Chainz and six others had their 2013 Ford E-350 van stopped en route to a performance at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore on U.S. Route 50 and Hiners Lane, for speeding. After smelling burned marijuana in the car the police searched the vehicle and found a metal grinder in a gray bag that was inside a camouflage-colored bag. 2 Chainz later admitted to owning the bag, however witness accounts state that he was seen asking his entourage who was the owner of the metal grinder.
The Talbot County District Court Judge William H. Adkins III. deeming the case a paraphernalia case found 2 Chainz not guilty on possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana.
Less then three weeks ago (April 5th) 2 Chainz sent tweet out claiming to be working on his new album. He also recently released the video for his The Weeknd-sampled “Like Me” song off of his debut album Based On A True Story.

Ahhhh…Foxy used to make my l#### tingle she looked so good! She stilled does look good to this day, I think. But, I have to admit, I have not seen her very much recently so I don’t know. But recent activity suggests that Foxy is about to make a come back and is hitting the studio again. She’s got a decent chance. She was cool with Nicki Minaj and briefly dated Rick Ross. I doubt that Jay would give her and bars, but she’s always been nice with the bars.
Maybe the reggae aspect is the way to go, because last time I saw Foxy she was having a wardrobe malfunction like crazy – b###### everywhere!

Emmett Till’s Family Speaks Out Again
The family of Emmett Till is not letting Lil Wayne off the hook for the lyrics that disrespected the memory of Emmett Till and women in general. While Wayne probably isn’t very stressed over the opposition, has refused to say sorry, the family of Till have released a new video chiding the rapper for what he rapped on “Karate Chop,” a song by Future. The song was removed by Epic Records and was never released commercially.
Emmett Till sparked the Civil Rights Movement when he as a young boy was murdered in 1955 for whistling at a white woman.
Amy Winehouse Documentary Soon, To Contain Unseen Footage
(AllHipHop News) Amy Winehouse will return to the national Directed by British filmmaker Briton Asif Kapadia and produced by James Gay-Rees, the documentary will include never before seen footage of the troubled London songstress.
In a joint statement, Kapadia and Gay-Rees expressed their immense admiration for Winehouse talent and hinted at a possible focus for the film:
“Amy seemed to fall apart under the relentless media attention, her troubled relationships, her global success and precarious lifestyle. As a society, we celebrated her huge success, but then we were quick to judge her failings when it suited us.”
This would mark the second major posthumous release dedicated to the late singer. Five months after her July 2011 death, Island Records released Lioness: Hidden Treasures, a compilation of unreleased demos and songs handpicked by close collaborators and friends of Winehosue’s, Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi.
Beyonce and Andre 3000 collaborated on a cover of Winehouse’s 2006 classic “Back To Black” for the Jay-Z executive produced soundtrack for the upcoming The Great Gatsby movie. Winehouse’s father, Mitch Winehouse told The Daily Mail that Beyonce “doesn’t bring anything” to the song. He also implied that the estate of Amy Winehouse is seeking financial compensation for the cover after tweeting that he was not made aware of the song’s creation:
‘They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing. I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money.’
According to reports, the untitled documentary will be shopped to foreign buyers at Cannes Film Festival in May.

Fantasia Slams Critics, Singer Reveals “True” Meaning Behind New Album
Following this past Tuesday release of Side Effects of You, Fantasia’s fourth album, the singer reveals in a video her personal triumph in putting the album together.
In this new personal video, Fantasia reveals that some songs were so personal, she had to ask people to leave the studio while she recorded. Fantasia, whose public image came under scrutiny earlier this year when a 10-year-old picture was used on a magazine cover, has always found a way to overcome her battles.

Lil Scrappy Released From Jail
(AllHipHop News) Lil Scrappy may have the record for the quickest “Free (Insert Incarcerated Rapper’s Name” ever.
The reality show rapper was released from jail yesterday. He was temporarily put in the bing for allegedly giving a false urine sample for a drug test.
On Twitter, he thanked God and his lawyer.
“I’m free thanks too God my Lord an savior Jesus Christ an the the vessel he used to support me @davis&boseman,” Scrappy tweeted.
The rapper had a previous infraction for drug charges and was required to submit to a test on the spot. His parole officer alleges that he submitted a sample that was cold to the touch.
When another sample was requested, Scrappy allegedly refused.
He turned himself in earlier this week where his mother, Mama Dee, held up a tee shirt saying “Free Scrappy.”
The rapper has another court date on May 16 to answer the charges.
Hip-Hop Rumors: Before Drake Crushes A Chick, Guess What He Does…
I couldn’t come up with the right word for the title of this rumor. I know “crushing” hasn’t been used since the days of Big Pun. But, ever since the Lil Wayne controversy, I’ve changed my ways! I won’t use terms like smashing, hitting, annihilating, destroying or even tapping when it comes to sex with women! Crushing seemed to be the saftest!
That said, I heard an interesting rumor about Drake that reminds me of a Chappelle skit.
Remember the “Love Contract” skit? Yeah? I heard that Drake smashes all the chicks he wants, but before he does, they have to sign a binding contract to keep their freaking trap SHUT! This is probably why you really don’t hear any crazy, crazy rumors about Drizzy from any common tricks. He lets out his own rumors as he sees fit, i.e. the Rihanna stuff. But, if these regular chicks want to be with Drake, they gotta sign on the line. I didn’t hear the penalty if they break the contract though.

Graphic Photos From R. Prophet’s Altercation With Police Surface
(AllHipHop News) Over the weekend R. Prophet, former member of rap group Nappy Roots, was involved in a violent altercation with Kentucky State Police. On April 20th a vehicle Prophet was traveling in was pulled over at a DUI checkpoint. He was then told to exit the car and wait for someone else to come and pick him up.

Police say that Prophet showed signs of being inebriated and began walking on the roadway into moving traffic. Officers decided to arrest him for public intoxication.
The troopers claim that Prophet began kicking the officers, and they had to use force to restrain him. Apparently, at some point he told the police, “I’m R. Prophet” which officers mistook as “I’m a prophet.”
The situation escalated to Prophet being pepper sprayed and tased numerous times by officers. The 35-year-old emcee also sustained serious injuries to his face, head, and legs.
Prophet spoke with TMZ. He says the entire incident was unnecessary and that he feared for his life.
But Prophet tells TMZ, it’s all BS … he was fully cooperative and cops repeatedly tased him for no reason as he laid helpless on the ground and handcuffed, adding, “I felt they were doing me like a slave. I thought I was dead.” He also says when he was thrown in the back of the cruiser he was pepper sprayed and tased again. Prophet says it got so bad in the car he thought they were going to drive him somewhere and kill him. In a panic, he says he gashed his head on the window.
Prophet was admitted to Hardin County Memorial Hospital and was later charged with alcohol intoxication, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, menacing, and assault of a police officer. He is currently out on $5,000 bond.

In March she released parts of the songs “Bow Down” and “Been On.” Earlier this month she debuted “Grown Woman” in her Pepsi commercial, and just this week a short preview of Mrs. Carter’s duet with Andre 3000, Back to Black, hit the net.
Now Bey is back once again with a 90 second clip for “Standing On The Sun”. Directed by Jonas Akerlund (Lady Gaga’s “Telephone”, Madonna’s “Ray of Light”), the video features Beyoncé sporting the H&M 2013 summer swimsuit collection on the shores of The Bahamas.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Nicki Minaj And Mariah Carey Booted Off American Idol?
Uh OH! I wonder what happened? I think Nicki Minaj was thinking she was the one that saved American Idol, but somebody else has another idea! Mariah Carey? Her too. She’s a major star, but that is of no consequence. Reports are saying that Mariah and Nicki are out of there – kicked off as judges from “American Idol.” There is a slim chance that Nicki could be spared but Jennifer Lopez is reportedly going to bump Marian off. They are negotiating J-Lo’s contract now. That said, the good people of FOX issued a statement denying the rumor! But, insiders insist that Nicki Minaj has not registered well with the Middle America crowd, who is the core audience for American Idol. Now, I see why Ruben flopped. Anyway, ratings are in the toilet and they have reportedly scrapped this season and are looking to the next one. And to think…Nicki and Mariah were fighting coming into this season.
Man, they need somebody like William Hung to set it off like the good old days!
