“Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” Theme Causes County Wide School Lockdown

(AllHipHop News) The theme song to legendary 1990’s sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” caused panic in a Western Pennsylvania town earlier this week.

All schools in Beaver County in Ambridge, Pennsylvania were locked down on Thursday (February 28), after a line from the sitcom’s theme song was mistaken as a threat.

The bizarre incident began when a receptionist for a local eye doctor’s office called a 19-year-old student’s phone.

Travis Clawson’s greeting featured him imitating the line from “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” theme that says “shooting some B-ball outside of school.”

The receptionist thought Clawson said “shooting people outside of the school.”

The receptionist called local police, who contacted administrators at Ambridge High School.

When Clawson could not be located, local police issued a countywide lockdown of all schools in the district.

Clawson was later found in the guidance a guidance counselor’s office in Ambridge High School.

Police “swarmed” Clawson and took him into custody. The teen said he meant no harm when he was imitating Will Smith.

Local District Attorney Anthony Berosh confirmed that Clawson was imitating the rap song, and was released without being charged.

Clawson was however, encouraged to change his message.

Hip-Hop Collective Rebel Diaz Gets “Unjustifiably Violent” Eviction and Raid from South Bronx Home

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop’s  birthplace continues to be altered, after a local community center is raided and evicted by surprise.

The Rebel Diaz Art’s Collective (RDACBX) of the South Bronx had their warehouse turned art space on 478 Austin Place reduced to scraps Thursday (February 28) after lease negotiations fell through.

New Rochelle real estate company Austin Property Corp allegedly attempted to stall those negotiations, after RDACBX’s lease expired.

According to DNAinfo, the landlord and RDACBX constantly clashed over unauthorized graffiti on the building and complaints from building tenants.

Allegedly, the collective protested a rent increase from $1,400 to $2,400 by refusing to pay the rent, even though they claim some payments were rejected. As a result, six months of back rent piled up and the landowner took action.

According to a press release from RDACBX,  a previous participant, 19-year-old Karen Louviere, claims the raid methods were unjustifably violent.

“They came in with armed guards officers into what is supposed to be a safe space for the community.” RDACBX’s co-founder RodStarz hinted at a more conspiratorial reason for the surprise eviction:

“In a time where budget cuts, stop and frisk, and gentrification are affecting our communities, it’s a shame we are being treated like criminals. There is no justification for this eviction.”

An emergency press conference/rally was scheduled yesterday at 6pm at the location of the fallen community center.

RDACBX were responsible for numerous events which promoted cultural awareness and promoted local artists. One of the events included  South by South Bronx, a flip on the popular music event South by South West (SxSW) and featured talks from Hip Hop pioneers such as Grandmaster Caz and rising stars such as Mysonne.

This eviction is being treated as an unfortunate holdup and not an insurmountable obstacle to achieve certain goals such as the planned creation of the Richie Perez Radical Library in dedication to the late Puerto Rican human rights activist.

“Despite the violent removal of RDACBX from its space, RDACBX will continue to work on its development, as it strives to be a resource for the community. There is a need for this organization to exist in The South Bronx,” says Claudia De La Cruz, a member of RDACBX

Hip-Hop Rumors: Will They Cancel American Idol? And Guess Who They Will Blame?

Keeping it real, I have not watched American Idol one time this season. I used to watch it from beginning to end. Then, I’d watch just the trials and foolishness. But, this year….nada. I think I am part of the problem that the show is experiencing. Even though the added the busty Mariah (who reportedly had a freaking DOUBLE NIP SLIP recently) and the bootiyful Nicki Minaj (who treated us all to her thongy backside on V-Day) ratings for American Idol are at an all time American low. Why? This is the third week in a row that the ratings have gone down. IT has sparked rumors that the show may get nixed. Some also speculate that they may be blaming Nicki for the decline. Not sure the reasoning behind that, but somebody has to take the rap. Why not the rapper?

What they want Nicki to do, Playboy?

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Lil Twist Driving Justin Bieber’s Car Crazy Again?

Remember what happened before right?

RELATED STORY: LIL TWIST WAS DRIVING WHEN THAT DUDE GOT HIT BY THAT CAR

According to TMZ, he’s at it again!

Peep the report:

Justin Bieber needs to rethink loaning his car out to Lil Twist, because his Lil Friend just got another ticket in JB’s Lil Fisker Karma.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Lil Twist was just pulled over on the 101 Freeway by CHP because he made an unsafe lane change. Deputies cut Lil a break on the lane change but gave him a ticket for tinted windows.

FYI — it’s the same tricked out Fisker Justin was driving when he was racing down the 101 Freeway last year, trying to shake the paparazzi.

And you’ll recall, Lil Twist is the dude who got a ticket in Bieber’s Ferrari on January 1 when a photog was struck and killed while shooting the scene.

JB is in London. He should have taken the keys.

Here are the pictures…I’m thinking Bieber may want to make better decisions before he really gets in some trouble. Messing with YMCMB.

Hip-Hop Rumors: What happened To Flavor Flav’s Ex Deelishis!

This started out kind of funny, but turns out that Deelishis was beat down by her HUSBAND! Now, they are separated, but I guess the man is having a hard time giving up that big butt! The funny thing is, she was reportedly caught out there at the wee hours of the morning with comic Michael Blackson, The African King of Comedy.

Here is a partial report:

An alleged drug dealer faces new legal problems after prosecutors say he assaulted his estranged wife, Deelishis, a model and reality show star who won the VH1 reality show “Flavor of Love 2.”

Federal court records shed light on a minor celebrity scandal that broke earlier this week when a popular Web site claimed Deelishis was assaulted by a pack of angry strippers.

Deelishis, real name Chandra London Davis, denied the report. The 35-year-old Farmington Hills resident, known for her ample derriere, posted a message on the social-media site Instagram, saying she tripped on icy stairs while wearing expensive designer shoes.

“I am fine & will be even better in a few days!” she wrote.

Court records offer a darker explanation.

Deelishis was injured jumping out of a second story window Sunday in Farmington Hills after allegedly being assaulted by her estranged husband, Franklin resident Orlando Gordon, according to federal court records.

Gordon was free on bond and awaiting trial in federal court at the time of the incident.

He was indicted in January 2012 along with more than a dozen others and accused of participating in a drug-trafficking operation involving thousands of pounds of blow and kush.

Prosecutors asked a federal judge Thursday to revoke Gordon’s bond due, in part, to the alleged assault.

“Gordon has engaged in criminal conduct that endangers the community — from driving while intoxicated to assault and home invasion,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven Cares wrote in a court filing. “These criminal acts show that no set of conditions can reasonably assure the safety of the community and Gordon’s bond should be revoked.”

U.S. District Judge Sean Cox will consider the request March 12.

Court records and a police report portray a violent incident Sunday at the reality-show star’s home on Muer Cove north of 13 Mile, where Deelishis lives with her two daughters.

At 4:20 a.m., Gordon smashed through the front door and struck Deelishis in the face, according to court records.

Deelishis, who had been sleeping in her daughter’s bedroom, ran to her master bedroom, where her friend was asleep.

The friend?

Michael Blackson, a popular stand-up comic known as The African King of Comedy.

He performed Saturday at the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts in Detroit.

Gordon allegedly chased the comic and hit him in the face, according to court records.

Deelishis, meanwhile, locked the bedroom door.

Her estranged husband tried to get into the bedroom, prompting Deelishis to rip open the window screen and jump two stories to the ground, according to police.

She later fled to a neighbor’s home and Gordon left his estranged wife’s house, according to police.

“Davis was in a lot of pain from her right wrist,” according to the police report. “Davis also had blood on her right hand.”

She was taken to Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital.

Gordon is scheduled to stand trial April 9.

He is accused of heading a large-scale drug ring with a second man, Wendell Tobias of Detroit.

During a prolonged investigation, federal drug agents have seized more than $1 million cash, classic cars and more than $130,000 in jewelry – including Deelishis’ engagement ring and Rolex watch.
