Producer Timbaland Invests In 50 Cent’s SMS Audio Brand

(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent and Timbaland, two of the music industry’s biggest forces, have joined together and formed a new partnership around 50’s SMS Audio brand.

Timbaland will invest an undisclosed amount into SMS Audio, in addition to joining the company’s board of directors.

Timbaland will have involvement in the design and audio engineering process for new products that are being launched by SMS Audio.

“50 Cent has created an aspirational audio brand that produces the highest caliber of headphones on the market,” said Timbaland. “I’m looking forward to working with 50 and being part of a company so eager to bring studio-quality sound to music fans all over the world.”

The SMS Audio company already produces a variety of products, including STREET by 50, the DJ Pro Performance headphones and SYNC by 50.

50 Cent expects Timbaland’s years of experience in the recording studio producing hits for artists like Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and others, to pay off.

“As an entrepreneur in the music industry, I have great respect for Timbaland and his evolving role as a producer, artist and influencer,” 50 Cent said. “I welcome his expertise and guidance. Timbaland will be a huge asset to the SMS Audio team as we move forward with new and innovative audio products.”

Master P. Starts Off 2013 Album, New Mixtape From The Louie V Mob Featuring Alley Boy & Fat Trel

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop legend Master P will return to the rap game this year, with the release of a new album titled Boss Of All Bosses.

Boss Of All Bosses is Master P’s first album since 2005, as well as his first official release since announcing his retirement from rap in 2006.

Prior to the release of Boss Of All Bosses, Master P would drop a mix tape titled “Al Capone.”

“Expect a lot of club bangers, street classics, and music to make you think,” Master P told AllHipHop.com. “As I transition my life, and the things that I’ve seen good and bad from the streets to corporate America, I feel like this mixtape is a piece of the documentary you will get from the album Boss of All Bosses.

For the “Al Capone” mixtape, Master P has called upon some of Hip-Hop’s top producers and rappers.

Artist like Game, Kirko Bangz, Nipsey Hussle, Miss Chee, Eastwood, Bengie B, T.E.C., T-Bo, Problem, and Jeremiah make appearances, while production on the release is handled by 1500, Deezle, Mike Diesel and Drummer Boy.

“I’m able to be relevant and make good music for this generation and not focus on what I did in the past,” Master P said.

And it’s not by accident. Master P has created a partnership with some of the hottest street rappers like Alley Boy and Fat Trel, to form The Louie V Mob, who are featured on “Al Capone” as well as Boss Of All Bosses.

“The Louie V Mob will bring the REAL to Hip-Hop.” Master P promised. “A lot of these artists are signing these 360 deals to major labels and can’t make moves. We teamed up as bosses to change the game, to where independence can control and make real money. It’s a new world order. No Limit Forever, Slutty Boy, and Ducktape.”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Police Harassing Frank Ocean And His Lover?

Recent reports have suggest that Frank Ocean was pulled over by police for “driving suspicious.” The singer dude and his man friend were driving around Mono County, Cali and something was awry. Whatever Frank was doing is a mystery and I won’t speculate, but it prompted the cops to pull him over. BUT, there have been reports that there may have been some hanky panky that gets people to thinking about a past Teddy Pendergrass episode. Apparently, Frank was temporarily put in the cop car, an image he tweeted out.

I’m not looking for that, but it reportedly destroyed his love excursion with his love bird.

By the way, the co-creator of Martin is NOT suing damn Trinidad James! The dude was joking! This is the worst, dumbest rumor of 2012 and its bleeding into 2013.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Timbaland Beefing With His Rapper Brother?

We have been waiting for years to hear from Timbaland’s brother Sebastian, right? Ok, we’ll its finally here! I believe that in my heart of hearts! But, there is something else that’s weighing on my soul. More on that in a sec. So, the other day, Timbaland released the song “Retro,” a joint that features Sebastian. The song is interesting, but there some something more interesting in the song. That happens to be the comment that Sebastian made under it calling his own brother DUMB on instagram. Welp, that’s weird. He chides Tim for releasing the song without his permission and a bunch of other stuff. Peep it below.

But here is that which is burning in my soul. I am reading in between the lines. I can’t imagine that he would diss the great Timbo like that! So, I conclude that this is some sort of a press stunt for attention! Because after saying all of this, he retweeted all the adulation and joy from the fans. So, I think these guys just pulled a fast on that I participated in. What do you think of the song, anyway? Its different and that a good thing.

By the way, Timbaland seems to be claiming the song and that its featuring Sebastian.

Snoop Lion Discusses Smoking Weed With His Kids, Spiritual “Rebirth” and More

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Snoop Lion set down with GQ magazine in the January issue, to discuss his love of marijuana, as well as his spiritual “rebirth.”

In previous interviews, Snoop Lion has stated that he smokes as much as 80 marijuana blunts each day.

While he would never encourage his kids to smoke marijuana, the rapper said he would “love” to show them how to properly consume the drug, should they decide to partake.

“It’s not that I would ever push weed on our kids,” Snoop Lion told GQ. “But if they wanted to, I would love to show them how, the right way, so that way they won’t get nothing put in their s### or overdose or trying some s### that ain’t clean.”

Snoop Lion is preparing to release his 13th studio album, titled Rebirth.

The new album showcases Snoop’s evolving image and emphasizes his new, Rastafarian beliefs.

According to Snoop Lion, he’s changed his lyrical content, in order to reflect his new, clean way of living.

“As you become a man, you start having kids and living,” Snoop Lion explained. “You put the guns away, and your music becomes Hey, I’m with my kid and I’m living now… as opposed to F**k that—I’ll shoot you on sight. …If I focus on death, it’s going to come closer than what it’s supposed to be. You’ll become it.”

Snoop experienced this in his own career, in 1993 when he and a bodyguard were accused of gunning down a gang member named Philip Woldermarian, in Long Beach.

With the help of a high-profile team of lawyers that included Johnnie Cochran, Snoop was acquitted of all charges in 1996.

“Write songs about being shot at and then the s### happens,” Snoop said. “And I don’t want to dwell on it long, but I wrote a song called ‘Murder Was the Case,’ and I never had a murder case in my life. But when that song came out, I had a real murder case.”

Snoop Lion album Rebirth is due in stores later this year.

Chicago Rapper Chief Keef To Remain Free – For Now

(AllHipHop News). Chicago rapper Chief Keef scored a victory in court yesterday (January 2), when a judge allowed to remain free over prosecutors request that he be jailed.

Prosecutors claim the Southside Chicago-based rapper had violated his probation, for moving to a home he reportedly purchased in a tony suburban Chicago neighborhood, without notifying his probation officers.

Probation officers claimed the rapper had moved from his grandmother’s residence, to live with an uncle in Northbrook, in a house he allegedly purchased.

But yesterday, lawyers for the rapper argued that he was simply recording music at his managers home/studio in the neighborhood.

A juvenile court judge agreed and said there was no “credible evidence” that Chief Keef moved from his original home.

The rapper is still not in the clear, due to an upcoming court date set for January 28.

In that incident, prosecutors claim Chief Keef violated his probation, by doing an interview at a gun range.

The rapper, born Keith Cozart, is currently on probation for pointing a gun at a police officer.

And after that, somebody else hit me up and told me that wasn’t the case. I was told that French and Trina were simply working together and he was going to be an executive producer on her new album. BUT…

Just the other day, an actual friend told me that these guys ARE dating. There are some particulars that I cannot reveal, but they were seen coming out of a hotel in Miami. Seems like French has crossed over totally now. Must be nice!

I love when immature kids quote a rapper that has never been friends with Kobe and knows nothing about our relationship. Just shows how gullible they are. I don’t need to be in the gym. I’m raising our daughters, signing checks and taking care of everything else that pertains to our home life.

I really wish people would stop THINK and then realize that they are being sucked into someone’s clear intention to monetize and gain attention off of our family’s heartache. This is real life. I hold down our home life so my husband can focus on his career. It’s a partnership.

(AllHipHop News) Not one to shy away from facial tattoos, YMCMB mogul Lil’ Wayne recently tatted the words “BAKED” on the upper right portion of his forehead (pictured above). Adding to the myriad of tattoos which include, stars, tear drops, a fleur de leaf, “Fear,” “God” on his eyelids and his well-known “Misunderstood” tattoo, Wayne tatted the words as an ode to skateboarding brand “Baker.”

Casey Veggies has announced the title and release date for his upcoming project called “Life Changes,” set to release later this month on January 22. The project is the Odd Future off shoot’s much talked about project that he explains in the promotional video below. Divulging on the inspiration for the project Casey Veggies says, “Have you ever gone too far to turn back. What does it mean to be in too deep? Has that term ever crossed your head? When you spend so much time on one thing you become accustomed to it like you become attached, like nothing more matters than accomplishing that one thing. Its like this weight on your chest, that like you have to become one with that one thing or that particular person or thing. Time flies fast you begin to change and everything around you changes and you just never want to lose that feeling, stay gold through it all. Life changes.”

J Cole has pushed back the date of his highly anticipated sophomore release titled, Born Sinner, which was set to release on January 28th. The rapper made the announcement on the red carpet for his New Years Eve celebration at Tao in Las Vegas. Prior to pushing the project back, J Cole released the lead single to the project dubbed “Miss America,” which was released back in November of last year. “It’s not going to be January 28, its gonna be later than that.”

Rick Ross Delays Album Title Announcement

(AllHipHop News) Fans of rapper Rick Ross will have to wait another week for the title of the his upcoming new album.

Rick Ross was supposed to announce the title of his sixth studio album on January 1, to ring in the New Year.

But for whatever reason, the rapper decided to delay the announcement until next week.

“For everyone still celebrating New Years like myself, I’m now releasing NEW LP Title Jan.7!!” Rick Ross tweeted.

Rick Ross’ untitled album will be the follow-up to last year’s release, God Forgives, I Don’t, which has been certified gold by the recording industry Association of America (RIAA).

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West’s family has come forward to reveal their opinions about the recent news that reality TV star Kim Kardashian is pregnant with the rapper’s first child.

Kanye West’s cousin Tony Williams spoke to Hollyscoop.com and revealed that Kanye broke the news to everyone, the day after Christmas.

“Kanye flew in the day after Christmas without Kim to tell us the news. When he told us, the family was silent. We were all kind of shocked,” Williams revealed.

After several minutes of awkward silence and shock, the family expressed excitement over the news about the pregnancy.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, who is still technically married to NBA player Kris Humphries appear to be a happy couple since the news broke on December 31.

The pair was spotted ringing in the New Year in Las Vegas, followed by a trip to Pinkberry in Los Angeles, where the couple snuggled together, while eating yogurt.

Ryan Leslie Ordered To Pay An Extra $180K Interest On $1 Million Laptop Reward

(AllHipHop News) Producer Ryan Leslie has been ordered to pay another $180,000 in interest on a $1 million judgment, over his stolen laptop.

Ryan Leslie’s laptop was stolen, while he was on tour outside of Cologne, Germany in 2010.

He took to YouTube.com to offer a $1 million reward for the laptop, which was found and returned by an auto shop owner named Armin Augstein.

But Leslie refused to pay Augstein the reward, because several important productions were missing from the recovered laptop.

In November, a Manhattan jury sided with Augstein and awarded the $1 million judgement against Ryan Leslie.

The $180,000 penalty covers the two years that Ryan Leslie reneged on the $1 million reward for the laptop.

According to the New York Post, Ryan Leslie never responded to a motion that was filed by Augstein last month, in an attempt to collect the interest.

Lawyers Ryan Leslie would not state why he did not challenge the latest motion for the $180,000 in interest, but his lawyer noted that he will appeal the latest judgment.

The producer has yet to pay any of the reward money, or the interest, as of press time.

Ryan Leslie’s latest album is titled Les is More.

Ice-T And Coco Renew Vows, Put Scandal Behind Them

(AllHipHop News) Ice-T and Coco showed no signs of strife as they renewed their vows in Las Vegas, even though they have been seemingly plagued by a recent controversy.

The couple celebrated 12 years together, as CoCo announced their plans on Twitter.

“Yeah!! It’s Ice and I’s 12th Anniversary today!! We’re getting couples massages & celebrating tonight at LAX Vegas, counting down to 2013!” Coco tweeted.

In December, the couple were wrought with martial confusion as salacious pictures surfaced of her and a rapper named AP.9. The rapper insinuated that he and the 33-year old Coco were involved in an affair.  Furthermore, the rapper AP.9 is rumored to be shopping nude pictures of Coco, but it has yet to be revealed as fact.
