RZA Releases “The Man With the Iron Fists” Soundtrack

(AllHipHop News) Wu-Tang veteran RZA has released the soundtrack to his highly anticipated movie “The Man With the Iron Fists.”

RZA directed the movie and executive produced the soundtrack to the film, which features guess like Kanye West, the Wu-Tang Clan, the Black Keys, Pusha-T, Talib Kweli, Freddie Gibbs, Kool G. Rap and others.

“I spent 150 days in China [shooting the movie] so I became very very homesick and very lonely,” RZA told AllHipHop.com. “I basically had to lose myself in work. I had no girlfriend and no communication. I spent 12-18 hours working and all that work went into this film,” said RZA.

RZA said likened “The Man With the Iron Fists” to Wu-Tang Clan’s classic debut, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). If all goes well on opening day, RZA will continue to pursue a career as one of Hollywood’s top directors.

“If it goes according to my plan, as it does sometimes – yeah I will definitely be directing more films,” RZA told AllHipHop.com. “This to me is like Enter the 36 Chambers – the first. That means I still have Tical, I still got Cuban Linx, I still Got Supreme Clientele, I still got Return To The 36 Chambers, Liquid Swords, I still have that creativity in me, but in a film way.”

“The Man With the Iron Fists” movie will hit theaters on November 2 and stars RZA, Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu and others.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Who Swooped In And Snatched Nicki Minaj’s Pepsi Deal?

It looks like Mariah Carey isn’t the only person Nicki Minaj has p*ssed off lately. Rumor has it that the folks over at Pepsi Corporate have allegedly decided to pull the plug on the Nicki Minaj Pepsi ad campaign that launched last year. Since that time, the rapper/singer has signed a deal to become a judge on “American Idol”, which is sponsored by their biggest competitor, Coca-Cola. So, although Nicki is a Pepsi girl, part of her American Idol deal contractually binds her to drink from a Coca-Cola cup during the show. That’s a big no-no for Pepsi, who was dead set against her taking the judging gig in the first place.

Pepsi reportedly wants that old thing back and has recruited Beyonce to star in a new Pepsi ad that will run during the Super Bowl. Photos from the commercial shoot have leaked online, and they clearly show Beyonce back at that familiar Pepsi vending machine….just like her previous commercial with them in 2002. Check it below:

Jay-Z’s better half looks to be styled in ’50s attire, in what is sure to be an epic commercial. Bey is also going to be performing at the halftime show, so expect Jigga and Blue Ivy to be in the building. Who do you think is going to make it to the Super Bowl this year?

Hip-Hop Rumors: Was This Tupac’s Last Song Recorded Before His Death?

There is a Tupac track entitled “Let’s Get It On” that is circulating the ‘net claiming to be the final recording before his death. The song was allegedly written about Mike Tyson, who Tupac name drops at the end of the song, and was allegedly recorded on 9/5/96. Tupac died just a few days later on 9/13/96. We don’t know if this is legitimate, hence why it’s in the rumors section. Check out the track below:

Tupac and Mike Tyson were reportedly very close during the ’90s, with Tyson even saying that his biggest regret in life was “not smoking weed with Tupac.”  Tupac also recorded another track for Mike Tyson called “Road To Glory”. Tyson walked out to this song in his March 16, 1996 fight vs. Frank Bruno.  The sound quality’s not that great, but you can hear the beginning of the song pretty clearly.

Of all the things Mike Tyson can regret in his life – you know that whole rape thing, the jail thing, the biting the ear thing – his biggest regret is not smoking with ‘Pac. Crazy!

It sounds like Shyne’s expectations were a little too high…but calling the album “trash,” though? I don’t know about that! AllHipHop.com reviewed good kid, M.A.A.D city recently, and it scored a 8.5 out of 10. You can read that review below:

Kendrick’s Black Hippy rap partner, Schoolboy Q got wind of Shyne’s tweets and quickly came to his defense tweeting, “We all know @originalShyne AIN’T EATIN!!!!! N*gga ain’t had a hot verse since ’01.”

Shyne responded to the tweet by calling Schoolboy Q and “f*g” and tweeting, “When mobsters talking rappers be quiet!”

Houston rapper Slim Thug seemed to want to insert himself in the controversy and retweeted one of Shyne’s tweets about Kendrick Lamar’s album being trash. Shyne responded to Slim Thugga’s retweet by writing, “@slimthugga I’m saying tho, all the hype I wanted to hear the champion! I heard a kid with potential. The beats was trash!”

Did you cop the album? What do you think about it? Did it live up to your expectations?
