(AllHipHop News) Rap mogul Damon Dash has filed a $5 million lawsuit against a former attorney, claiming she ruined a high-profile distribution deal with rapper Curren$y.
According to reports, Dame Dash’s company DD172 and BluRoc Records, have filed a lawsuit against Janis Shen last week in Manhattan Federal Court.
The lawsuit claims that Janice Shen failed to complete the contractual paperwork for an oral agreement Dame Dash had with Curren$y, resulting in the loss of the artist altogether, as well as several other upcoming acts.
Curren$y was supposed to create three albums with Damon Dash, including Muscle Car Chronicles and Pilot Talk I and II.
But Dame Dash claims that the lawyer he hired failed to create the necessary contract, resulting in Curren$y taking his albums to Warner Music Group.
The move also cost Damon Dash his distribution deal with Island/Def Jam, according to the lawsuit, which also resulted in the loss of recording artist Stalley.
In addition to $5 million worth of damages, Dane – is also seeking lawyer fees and court costs.

I don’t know how they kept this under wraps for so long, but back in June, Breezy failed a drug test in his home state of Virginia. He had a probation hearing in L.A. yesterday, which has his #teambreezy crew tweeting him messages of good luck. Rihanna sent him one of those “good luck” tweets, and if you were wondering the status of these two, Rihanna calls him “baby” in one of the tweets. Check out her tweets below:
Alrighty, then. These two obviously started following each other on twitter again, and Rihanna liked a picture one of her fans photo shopped of her kissing Chris Brown. Brown, on the other hand, has not been seen with his girlfriend Karreuche for a number of days, although she still is constantly accompanied by Breezy’s security. You know, in case she runs into any crazy Rihanna fans.
Because of the positive drug test, Chris Brown’s probation was on the verge of getting cut. Judge Patricia Schnegg decided not to revoke his probation because Breezy owned up to it. So what was the drug? It was marijauna. Breezy says that he smoked while in California, where the drug is legal with a prescription.
It turns out, drug testing was never a part of his probation to begin with.
Chris Brown’s , “Don’t Judge Me” video is set to drop later this week.

Welcome to a new day and new opportunity to do it better than before! Today’s Daily Word is
dedicated to listening. Alvin Toffler once said that the illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn…
There is a tendency nowadays to feel that we know it all. We speak before we fully hear what’s being said, and we are reluctant to take advice by mistakenly treating it as criticism! We must Learn to Listen!! Sometimes the answers to our questions are right before our eyes, but because we are too busy talking, we miss the opportunity!
It is imperative that we are ,confident but do not be so confident that you are unwilling to learn
from those around you! Whether young or old, rich or poor, experienced or inexperienced, there is something to learn from everyone…. Listen and let those lessons be taught!! Your Greatness is solidified! Get out of your way and allow it to blossom!

Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky quickly set Twitter ablaze when he fulfilled the dreams of men everywhere and squeezed Rihanna’s butt at the 2012 MTV VMAs. The two were onstage performing Rihanna’s single, “Cockiness”, when A$AP Rocky finished his guest verse, came over to the Bajan singer, and grabbed a handful of her derriere.
For the first time, the rapper opens up about that moment and implies that it wasn’t planned, but was just “one of those moments.”
“It really wasn’t no idea,” he told CBS Local. “It just happened.”
So did Rihanna spazz out on him backstage after the performance? The rapper confirms that there was no major blow back from the butt squeezing, and said that he “didn’t know everyone was really talking about it.”
I guess it came natural to him.
Sidenote – A$AP Rocky is nominated for six BET Awards. AllHipHop.com is also nominated for an award!

(AllHipHop News) United States Hip-Hop star 50 Cent is bankrolling a probe into the death of his high-powered manager, Chris Lighty, who allegedly committed suicide last month.
50 Cent and Chris Lighty’s family have hired attorney Scott E. Leemon of Leemon Law and private investigator Les Levine to look into Chris Lighty’s death, which was ruled a suicide by the New York Medical Examiner.
The new investigation will focus on all of the circumstances surrounding Chris Lighty’s death, attorney Scott E. Leemon told AllHipHop.com in a statement.
“I will confirm that I have been asked by Chris’ mother and many of his former clients/business associates/friends (including 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and Q-TIP) to fully investigate all of the circumstances surrounding his premature death,” Scott E. Leemon told AllHipHop.com.
According to an article by Lisa Evers of Fox 5 in New York, 50 Cent said that Chris Lighty’s mother came to him, asking for help because, she didn’t believe her son would take his own life.
50 Cent shared the same opinion and started the process of investigating Lighty’s alleged suicide.
Although initial reports stated that Chris Lighty could have been distraught over his financial situation, Fox 5 obtained a copy of the high-powered manager’s will, which left over $1.6 million in a trust fund for his children.
Lighty had also just secured a world tour for 50 Cent, which is expected to commence next year.
The will also left Chris Lighty’s entire estate, which is worth millions, to his wife, Veronica, who he was in the process of divorcing.
According to Dr. Michael Baden, who is conducting an independent autopsy, Chris Lighty definitely died of a gunshot wound, but he is investigating other circumstances surrounding Lighty’s death, which have not been revealed.
“His mother has asked me to help her determine if anyone or more people are legally responsible for Chris’ death,” Scott E. Leemon told AllHipHop.com. “And, if so, whether a wrongful death action should be filed against them. As such, the investigation will focus on those questions.”
Scott E. Leemon and Les Levine are currently seeking any parties who may have more information about Chris Lighty and the circumstances surrounding his death.
“The investigation is being lead by private investigator Les Levine and is in its’ extreme early stages. It is being initially funded by 50 Cent with the hope of others helping,” Scott E. Leemon added. “If anyone in the public has information about Chris’ death it may be emailed to: ti**@*******aw.com.”
